I got this month’s Universal Yums. It’s on Türkiye this time. They did it about 1.5 years ago, but I think they have ‘new’ things this time. Again, there are stickers, map of landmarks, review on other side of the map, and booklet. Nefis means yummy or delicious. Afiyet olsun is like bon appetit, but is said before and after a meal. There’s trivia, a thing on their coffee, snack descriptions, recipes (Ottoman Hummus, Adana Kebab, Lokum or Turkish Delight), Turkish Delight info, and all the nutrition facts for the snacks. There’s only 1 snack I might not have. It’s a hot paprika corn thing. I think the garlic bread pretzels were there last time. There are a couple different Turkish Delights flavors compared to last time. There’s a burger flavored corn thing. That sounds interesting. There’s a pesto flavored snack that looks good. The ‘snowball’ cake has a coffee cream. There’s a red velvet cake bar. There’s vegan sour strips. All of these sound great. I think the Lush Mosaic cookies were in the last one, and so was the chocolate and pistachio bar. I don’t remember what those were like. I feel a little bad, because my parent got South Korea instead. It’s supposed to be Türkiye. Maybe she can order it? Or, they ran out of it? I might give her the hot paprika snack, at least.
