I love my iPad Pro. My notes are so pretty.
self discipline tips
here are tips I discovered very recently:
something is better than nothing. 5 minutes of work are better than zero. Just because you missed something on your schedule doesn’t mean you can’t still work on it, even for 5 minutes. Grow and build on this.
second drafts / reviews can be done after.
Don’t think you are going to do your very best work on the first try. Take the weight of perfectionism off your shoulders.
don’t think about doing it. just do it as fast as you can.
build on your productivity, not your failures.
If you come from a past of procrastinating and now feel motivated to change and discipline yourself, do NOT try to do everything at once.
if you have a set of different goals to accomplish, begin with the most important one. Wait until the rotine of working for that one settles in (you feel productive and comfortable-ish), and then begin with the next. Repeat.
this way you’ll be building your way up and not juggling everything at the same time, hoping everything works out.
be patient with yourself, you’ll get there!
set smaller deadlines for your goals
have monthly and weekly-ish deadlines
e.g. if you are doing a project, due 22nd Feb, set personal deadlines, like have Introduction written by 2nd Feb, have Methods written by 10th Feb, have project complete by 18th Feb.
take them as seriously as you possibly can, don’t miss out on yourself.
write realistic daily tasks and don’t stop until you finish them. after them you can do whatever you want
on writing realistic daily tasks, the secret is knowing you can only do so much in one day, but trusting you can accomplish everything in the course of any period of time (a week, or 2 weeks or a month, etc.) because you will combine the work from all these different days.
it’s very tempting to write down all the tasks you need to accomplish in one day to just get over with it, but the real deal is you won’t accomplish half of them. You’ll feel very unproductive then, wich leads to demotivation.
spread daily tasks in the time necessary.
have a consistent sleep schedule.
if your mind isn’t ready everything will fall apart.
have one rest day per week where you plan nothing, do whatever you want except studying. this can be harder than you expect!
(don’t forget these are effective only if you actually put them into practice! good luck babes!!)
16/06 Today was my last final.🙏🏼 I don’t know how it went and I don’t want to think about it anymore. My vacation starts NOW guys. I am beyoooond happy.
I’m still fixing stuff for my summer schools. I am 100% sure I am going on a summer school in Barcelona in July, so that’s all planned. But I am probably going on a summer school at the end of June (so next week!) as well…. It took me so much time already to fix this trip. I’m 90% sure I’ll be on a plane next week… So fingers crossed guys! And so previous semester I managed to reach my goal of #100daysofproductivity! I worked my ass off and I reached my goal: 100 days of intensive studying in 1 semester. This semester was totally different. I had a lot of papers to write, I did my internship etc. So I managed to reach 87 days of studying. BUT I also worked as an intern for 10 full days in my Easter vacation. At the time, I didn’t have time to blog and I couldn’t take pictures at this law firm, so you can’t find anything on my blog about it. (I’m planning on writing a master post about it though!) My point is that I’d like to add these days as an intern to my total of 87 study days, which brings me at 97 days of productivity for this semester! I’m slightly disappointed I didn’t reach 100 days of productivity, but 97 days isn’t that bad either. ;)
Anyway, I will definitely keep on blogging this summer. I’m planning on doing a LOT of productive things. I can’t thank you enough for all the support during this semester. I loved all your messages, comments and tags!!! ♥ #day87 #day97
My desk area is coming along aesthetically pleasing af! The cork board doesn’t match now so I’ll have to fix that soon! But I’m v content with it!

I drew Rover for a good friend! :)
1-12-17// I have a love-hate relationship with econometrics, we’ll see how the final goes tomorrow. Also, not the healthiest snack but I don’t care, it’s yummy.
09.04.17 editing my manuscript that I hope to get published at some point; it’s a review of novel therapies for myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury.
September 7th 2017:
I’m planning on writing a guide on how to turn a 500 page pain-in-the-ass-subject into a much more manageable, portable set of no more than 65 page diagram/summary notes. Would anyone be interested in that??
Absolutely!

A Well Organized Life
Working from home, working at my desk, I want everything I need to be within reach. Being able to see where my supplies are at a glance makes me feel calm. When I stare off in thought, I am not distracted by clutter or messes. I place inspirational things nearby to keep me focused. I keep my collections of things limited to containers that display them in a pleasing way. This avoids excess and invites clarity.
A place for everything and everything in its place.
I often think of this phrase when I’m tidying. There is a shadow in it that speaks to overly strict control of all things – that is not what I want. That kind of control isn’t possible and in fact it can be extremely harmful, in my opinion. But when it comes to everyday-use spaces, it’s a motto I most definitely live by. You have a relationship with the things around you. Make sure it is a mutually beneficial one.
