Something different on deck! I've got a corporate masquerade party coming up at the end of the month, and am making a mask to match my dress. The mask was bought at Joann's, and had a fastener type thing at the crown. I didn't like how low it was positioned, so I've pulled it off and will add feathers or something. Also adding silver glitter to make it pop more.

Back to quilting! I just moved, and had been wanting to sew but couldn't find my pedal. But it was found last night! My mom's birthday is coming up, and I've been working on this small quilted carrier for her for over a year. Figured it was time to get it finished. Here's to finishing a buttload of work in under a week!

today's project has been fixing this choker! Bought on sale, didn't realize how big it was. I need to chop off a good couple inches, and so I'm also tightening up the braids because that stuff will /get/ to me if I don't fix it now. Should turn out pretty nice once it's done!

Part 2! Managed to get both legs hemmed this evening. Double stitched to help prevent fraying. Next step is sewing some lace details to give this some flair.

Tripped and tore a hole in a pair of jeans last week. Since I don't have any cute shorts for the summer, I decided to hem them and create a pair!

RF 2k17 Costume I bought a prom dress at the thrift store to turn into my costume for Reed College's Renn Fayre. First step was to add straps - the bodice is a tiny bit loose, and I anticipate lots of jumping about and hugging people. Magenta is my scent color, so that's what the straps were. I may shorten then so that the little plastic things are more on my back, but at the moment having the straps able to loosen/tighten so much allows me to get the dress on easier. Coming up - shortening the hem, and adding fabric to the skirt to make it poof!

Progress is happening! Managed to clean off my desk and get to my sewing machine and I'm powering through my cold to get this done.

New thing in progress! I'll post actual pictures of this creature once it's been gifted to the person its going to. I've been off the grid dealing with a lot of life things, but thinking about getting backing into posting about my work again. Low-key at the moment - to much going on for me to do a lot of art right now.
