This is your reminder that it’s free to contribute to fanfiction communities and archives. There will be lots of what you want to read if you write it! And other people who like what you like will get to enjoy your work, the way you have been benefiting off other writers with similar tastes.

Stop addressing writers like they’re your butlers. Write what you want. Read what you want. Ignore what you don’t. The amount of public complaining happening lately actually makes it harder for writers to participate in communities and reduces the amount of fic that grateful readers who do like those tropes could be reading.

Be nice to fic writers. Maybe, go put some requests in with someone who’s looking for them. Or perhaps this can motivate you to give writing a shot.

brat tamer!abby doesn’t tolerate nonsense. by default, she likes you best when you’re being the good girl she knows you to be, so she runs a strict program in order to keep you that way — and should you step out of line, she’ll handle it easily. with all that height and all those muscles, she knows exactly why you struggle to look her in the eye when you act out; her dominance is not a mere idea, it's a physical presence that you find hard to resist. abby is pure intimidation.

but she's a softie through and through, she really is, so she always gives you more than enough chances to correct yourself before the consequences of your behaviour turn from just a small risk to flat out danger. abby makes one thing clear, and it's that it's not really up to her whether or not you submit — it will always happen, and it's up to you how easy you'd like the process to be.

it works in her favour anyway, because it won't take much more than a warning for you to comply. rarely does abby need to say more than a soft, "careful." or "uh oh, i don't think that was what you meant, was it?" to get you fawning and apologising profusely for whatever disobedient remark you made.

she's no saint, and she does not hold much patience. but she knows what she's doing. abby will escalate in order to de-escalate; when the rare event of you refusing to back down after her initial warning takes place, she'll smack your backside or yank you into her personal space by the wrist just to ask what you think you're doing. that's what works. when you seem numb to the voice and presence alone, she gives you a little something more, she gets her strength involved. because she knows why you keep trying to test her.

it's like an addiction you can't beat, the adrenaline rush and the sudden deep submission you sink into when put back into the right place. she knows you are a sick girl with an addiction to her discipline, and she embraces it.
