the haim sisters have lived in la their whole lives and don’t control where their dad was born. they are passionate rockstars who write and play their own songs and alana gets cast in movies bc paul thomas anderson is friends with the sisters and impressed by them, their success is not a zionist plot or nepotism or whatever. they are not “ugly” you are just not used to seeing women who succeed primarily on talent and not looks. taylor swift has been close with them for over a decade now because they are fun people to hang out with.
