I wrote about my favorite movie of the year so far, 1973′s Slither, for Geoffrey Lapid’s Movie Diary. It was really exceedingly lovely to be asked to contribute (a) as a lot of people I enjoy have been guests, and (b) as a big Geoff Show fan, of course. Plus, it’s just nice to get to pretend to be a Movie Writer. I’ve never done that before. “Look at me, ma, I stole Manny Faber’s pants from the laundry”, that kind of thing. “Now me and Roger Ebert have something in common besides an unsettling sexual interest in the Rocky & Bullwinkle movie.” Et cetera.
I managed to get Abhay on my blog, so obviously I had to log back into tumblr to honor the man on his home turf! It’s a great post about Slither (1973) and its very 70s interrogation of the classic movie adventure genre. Also sex grottos. Pretty much exactly what you want to get for your blog when you email Abhay to write for your very successful and popular movie blog. Thank you Abhay!
