STRONG CONQUEROR

Gonna attempt a very casual return to Tumblr-ing before I inevitably end up joining a social media site called something like Beezwacks or Vero 2 that only lets me post comics cropped into a 1 inch circle and only allows me to interact with my real friends, paid advertisers and people who work for the CIA.

Oh Hey It’s Satan’s Boy is a comic that I started drawing in 2019 and took a break from drawing this year. I stopped liking the title in 2019 as well. At the time I conceived it, as a very light satire of Instagram comics, I was working at a job where I was writing all day and then coming home and editing at night. I missed drawing comics, but didn’t have the capacity to write one. So I was like, “What if I draw a comic, but don’t write it?” And then rather than attempting to find another person to write a script for me or making something more abstract, I decided to lie to myself and say that if I wrote the comic while in the process of drawing it that that isn’t actually writing, it’s cartooning. I think this is a lie that many famous comics writers believe as well, so I was in good company. I continued using this process as well as continued to use my brain to think badly for every strip so far.
