âNobody is helping us by taking away our work places,â a sex worker in the Netherlands says as a clean up effort does exactly that. I donât feel like it can get more succinct than that. People are doing this for money. People need money. You can rescue people from their source of income all you want, but they will still need money. So where is the replacement income going to come from? If you do not have a replacement income, equivalent to what youâve deprived them of and with the same amount of flexibility to allow for things like child care, you have NO RIGHT to call it rescue. Call it what it is: forcing people to make a choice between starving, being homeless, living in shitty circumstances, or working in even more unsafe circumstances. Because that is the only thing happening. Whichever location you pick. In India or Indiana. You can make things better for people or you can make them worse, but please admit that f you are unable to offer them an equivalent income (and you canât) you are only making it worse.
Strip club customers, if you want to get a good dance just be respectful and donât haggle with us, itâs that simple. If you are disrespectful, try to touch where you arenât suppose to, or cheap, youâre not gonna get a good dance and youâre not gonna have a good time. Donât play yourself.
How do you handle guys who sit at your stage without tipping? I get so damn angry
So I live in Australia and we really donât have tipping culture here. Which means in most clubs, most people who sit at the stage wonât tip, even when thereâs literally a neon sign reminding them that stage seats are for tipping customers. I usually wait a couple of minutes, give them a chance to see me dancing (even though half of them will pull out the âyou gotta show us something firstâ line anyway), and then slide over and say âHi guys, welcome to the tipping seats!â (big smile, wait a second for them to process what I said), and then something like âSo who wants to see some more of this?â or âRemember, the more you tip me the more I can show you.â If theyâre dicks about it I explain that âthese are the best seats in the house, but to sit here youâve gotta tip us, so why donât you go back to the bar?â Sometimes they refuse, and I find generally women will just completely ignore me, but I get mad too and I like to at least try to remind them that Iâm not up here working my ass off so they can get a free perve.

âYou donât have to lose your dignity with your clothes.â
One of my stripper friends said this to me once, and itâs always stayed with me.
Wait...K. Wait... I realize you gotta cut the tampon string - but I'm sorry - my pussy isn't looooose so how the fuck am I supposed to take it out ?
i personally just let the tampon fall out of my loose vagina and onto the floor
me too, and if i sneeze it literally will shoot out of this loose v
Pro stripper tip: if your vaginaâs tight you donât actually need tampons. I just squeeze my vag all night and donât let the blood out.
Thinking that sex workers are trying to steal your man
Is like thinking day care workers are trying to steal your kid.
Not a bad analogy! At the end of the day, weâre glad to give them back and go home.
We are also way less impressed with that picture of them naked in the bath than you are.
I canât stress this enough
Or maybe people shouldn't be subsidising companies wages with tips, going out to eat isn't exactly much of a luxury.
I mean thatâs a different topic. But I disagree.
If having someone cook a meal for you exactly how you want it and then having someone else serve it to you while basically catering to your every want and need at your table is not a luxury idk what is.
Exactly! Thank you. Eating out IS a luxury. someone is working to provide you with that service. Anon probably doesnât tip lmao
anon is a fucking dumabass and probably 13 years old
So, Iâm Australian and Iâm super against tipping as a system of paying wages. Itâs bullshit, itâs exploitative and itâs terrible for both workers and customers. (Seriously, who wants to math right after eating?) The only people it benefits are shitty business owners who either are so bad at business they canât afford to pay their staff, or are arseholes who want people to work for free. (hello strip club owners in Aus who make workers PAY to work!)
HOWEVER when Iâm in America or anywhere else that uses tipping as wages, I fucking tip, because Iâm not some hypocrite who thinks people should get paid but then wonât pay them. Those tips donât subsidise the company, they subsidise the employeesâ lack of wages. Not tipping waiters isnât a fuck you to the company, itâs a fuck you to the waiter. If you want to make your feelings clear, you talk to the owner of the company that isnât paying its staff. Or like, just donât eat there. Itâs hard for people to organise and fight for better conditions if they canât afford to eat. So sure, tipping SHOULD be an optional extra on top of living wages, but in some places it isnât so to not be a hypocritical arsehole you fucking tip!
Always tip your strippers.
Honestly, if a stripper had a dollar for every time someone didnât tip her because they thought she makes a thousand dollars a night, sheâd probably be making a thousand dollars a night.

Strippers
Do you have any responses to the constant accusations that strip clubs are instrumental in âbreakingâ âgirlsâ (as if we are horses) and preparing them for the pimped and trafficked existence?
If you have a response, would you like to share it for this issue of working it? You can just reblog with your thoughts, I would love it if it could be a discussion.
For examples of the breaking it rhetoric, check out this charming article:
http://www.oregonlive.com/hovde/index.ssf/2015/11/elizabeth_hovde_visiting_a_str.html
Wow, that sounds so much like the âmarijuana is a gateway drugâ rhetoric! âStripping is the gateway drug to human trafficking?â
Iâm sure that kind of thing has happened, where individual women are coerced into stripping by partners, and itâs lead to other kinds of sex work. But Iâve never seen it run by an actual club. In my experience, they donât usually want to lose girls to brothels or escort agencies. In my first club, they actually had strict rules where if it was discovered you did any kind of fssw, youâd be fired. (I mean, other clubs have those rules, but a lot of them donât enforce it). And thereâs a lot of whorephobia in most strip clubs, which to me indicates that thereâs not a lot of encouragement to do full service.
Iâve seen women go from stripping to other kinds of sex work, and the other way around, but to me itâs always seemed like theyâre running the show - whether itâs because they liked one kind better, or for better money.
And Iâve never seen clubs imposing quotas - generally as long as youâre paying your house fees they donât give a shit if youâre making money - which can be a problem, but not in the way the anti-SWers seem to think. The idea that a woman would be beaten for refusing to perform, rather than just fired? I donât know if itâs like this everywhere, but there are enough strippers in Australia that clubs donât generally go to a lot of effort to retain girls. They donât make you do anything, because there are plenty of people who will.
Customer: Just here for the beer :) Me: Going to a strip club for the beer is like going to the movie theater for the popcorn. Customer: ⌠Me: ⌠Customer: *Reluctantly pulls out wallet*
hell yeah gonna get this on the back of a leather jacket and start a gang with my girls

What kind of books do u guys like to read? I just got done reading Robin Hobbâs Farseer books, and Iâm about to start on the 7th one ( đŠđŠđŠ ), so I rlly like fantasy and sci fi, but I like all kinds of other books too. Are you guys reading anything?
In fantasy/dystopian future, the last book in the Obernewtyn Chronicles just came out! There are 7 books in the series, (itâs taken 28 years from first to last book) and I havenât read any since I was a teenager, but if theyâre as good as I remember then theyâre well worth reading - Iâm about to read the whole series. By Isobelle Carmody.
As sex workers, we know first-hand that poverty is a huge factor in why people sell sex. However, we cannot understand why criminalising the income source of people who sell sex is presented as a âsolutionâ to the economic coercion of poverty. If campaigners are concerned that poverty takes away peopleâs choices, we suggest that a real solution would be to tackle poverty, not to criminalise what is often the final option that people have for surviving poverty.

âIf you can dance naked onstage for money then whatâs the next step? Whatâs next?â
I believe thatâs the same argument conservatives made against gay marriage. âWhatâs next?â
Goat sex is clearly the answer to both.
Paying your rent?
Also, according to a recent study, buying cheap wine and junkfood. That seems to be a proven result of getting nekkid for money.
But after that
Goat sex

When dating a stripper please realize:
⢠We are terrible at texting back ⢠We have a tendency to be sassy ⢠We have little faith in men ⢠We will probably always love money more than you
And donât touch us unexpectedly!
