got rejected for another job i was really banking on (even with a good word put in by my recently-hired friend), radio silence from practically everything else i've applied to. definitely not gonna make all the payments i need this month without help now. costs are around $1400 for rent, $400 for gf's bills, and all the rest will go to food. i do have one comm lined up and one i'm finishing but that's it for money coming in. sigh...

What would scare me the most? I really don't know. Probably situational. I'm feeling quite pleasant now imagining a close friend or some such covertly threaten me with a gun. I would feel instantly doomed. Like there's no coming back, even if nothing happens. Part of that is probably the illegality.
I'd be very very scared of needles definitely. When I did injections for my estrogen I would have to work up the courage for half an hour before I could penetrate my thigh. It was a whole ordeal each time and I'd work up a sweat over it and fidget nonstop. It felt nice and I imagine I would loooove if I had someone else to do it for me so sweetly. Recently I used a lancet to get a few drops of blood and it was so so so hard to work up the courage just to prick myself.
Blood is so scary to me. I would love to look down at a puddle of my own blood on the floor and then look up at the sweetheart who did it to me. I'd be so so scared.
Anything to do with my spine is very scary. Ughhhh sticking in a needle into my spinal cord ughhhhhhhhhh AHHHH

Pushing it, watching the impression grow deeper and deeper until it finally breaks the skin. Maybe I'm not so good at it yet, the T still seems to 'bleed' out of me here and there.

Awwwww. Fang. That's a cute name. I like it. I'm glad to relate. Lately, I've been trying to take a break from everything. mixed results. I watched Safe (1995) the other day and found that while I liked it, I never quite know what to do with a movie that doesn't explode in the end. You just have to sit with the ambiguity. It's kind of nice
I've given previous questions some thought. Always been interested by the things that cause relatively little damage but horrify people more than a "regular" wound. Really punching above their weight, reaction-wise. (I loooove the fear of needles for that reason. It's not about what's in it, but what it is. Very safe, yet so many people's worst nightmare. I wonder if the needle calls to mind snake fangs and stinging insects.)
I got off topic. People are capital-H Horrified by fingernail horror. Anything you can do to a fingernail. Pulling, twisting, puncturing. It can still get a reaction out of me that not much else matches, so sometimes at work, I'll imagine my fingernails being pried off.
And things like potato peelers! People would rather see another realistic stabbing sequence than something awful happening with a face and a veggie peeler. I love it!

It seems nothing can disprove the idea that no action a human being can take weighs more heavily on right-and-wrong than what I do just by being alive. In this sense, despite how I talk, I'm very forgiving of others
I try to confess, over and over: I was not supposed to happen. I was supposed to politely kill myself at a very young age. This wrongness I feel every day, the shame of being alive and being every single horrible thing that I am, I wonder if it's a result of whatever mistake let me exist. Either I kill myself as a more-or-less happy (Ha!) adult or I somehow learn to accept and enjoy the absolute cruelty I inflict by continuing to exist
Impressive that the suicide rate isn't 100%. Incredible, even. People are so resilient. I've personally killed myself so many times over. So I don't credit myself with survival. I didn't survive. But I don't even get the fulfillment of staying dead. So what proof is there that I died at all?
when i was a kid my Getting To Sleep technique was visualizing a child-sized shriveled up mummy with big piercing eyes that would stand silhouetted in the doorway & stare at me & probably attack if i so much as opened my eyes after getting into bed & this technique caused me to develop a lifelong nighttime-induced paranoia & it still takes me 2 hours to fall asleep. so i wouldnt recommend that

One could say I need to be "checked out" for something but there are no helpful institutions, noooo help at all, no help is coming. Of course, I could always undergo the humiliation ritual and spend hundreds of dollars to burn through a half-dozen prospective therapists for them to all get to that point of staring awkwardly at me when the Glowing Light Visualizations don't work.
Giving myself a space to be incredibly annoying is fine, but I start to get annoyed when I am incredibly annoying.
