Deep in the woods lies an old brick road. Long out of use, the forest had dug its roots inder it, making the walk along it uneven. At the end of it was a large estate, overtaken by nature. The garden was far overgrown and the gate to go in appeared to only be held up by the vines snaking their way across. Antony sits in the window, staring at the gate longingly.

Ryland Grace and his popularity as a character feels like such an important step in repairing the cultural tsunami left by the long running trope of every genius character needing to be an insufferable asshole to everyone in a ten mile radios about it.
Conversely, Eva Stratt is doing wonders for repairing and inspiring a appreciation for commanding women with dubious moral convictions who are fully willing to bend laws for the greater good without hesitation.
And together they are doing brilliant things by not kissing or hooking up even once.

If it wasnt art fight season right now, I would be drawing my Trigun BloodyMary AU. Just imagine,,,, Wolfwood as The Butcher. Forced to go through horrors for a cult he doesn't believe in. And Vash the Savior of the Universe. Who just wanted to be a teacher and enjoy his life forced instead to save everyone. Do we see the parallels???? Cuz i do and its driving me crazy.
Okay y'all seem to like this AU idea so here are some more tidbits i have thought up:
Obviously Meryl gets to be Rocky in this situation. Milly is her mate back at home. She looks like she is made of Sodalite. So very blue and white and very pretty.
They run into Wolfwood by literally crashing into the submarine in space on their way to Erid. How did it get there? Idk. Thats for future me to figure out. But Wolfwood needed to get hit by a car adjacent thing somehow.
We get to keep the angel nickname across fandoms! I always see Simon call Grace an angel. And same with Vash and Wolfwood so yay!
Instead of the Butcher i would imagine Wolfwood would be called his typical title of The Punisher. Or The Undertaker. I read a fic recently where Simon fed blood to the Last Tree and they fed it people sometimes. So i feel like that would have been wolfwood's job. Take care of COI agents and then do his 'holy' duties of giving them to the tree. He is considered a type of priest
Luida and Bradd are the ones who send Vash up into space. I can't decide if i want knives to be a part of that or have him be Vash's twin who got left behind and is spending his time ripping Luida and Bradd to shreds in the media for sending him against his will. Decisions decisions π€
