I love Ex Astris Scientia because of their frustration with sizing. Especially the sizing of the kitbash ships.
I had battles with them back in 2013 over the size of the reboot movie Enterprise, which to this day they insist is the size of the classic movie ship despite it being pretty clear she's intended to be much, much bigger⬇️

I've long, long since stopped caring about such things, though. Star Trek ships are magical places which change and warp to fit whatever today's episode or movie needs inside and that's all they'll ever be😂 Voyager's shuttlebay never looked the same twice.

Excelsior needs to be twice as big as she's supposed to be in order to fit all the decks shown in her window rows. The Klingon bird of prey is always the same size, whether next to the old small Enterprise or the giant Next Gen version.

BTS design documents for Strange New Worlds' engine room literally say "scale cheat required to fit" under the cutaway diagram!
And that's not counting the full-on insanity of Discovery's third season😂 (I think they write off Disco as an alternate universe anyway)

So... yeah. To be that hardcore, trying to establish sizes based on random jumbled ship parts with broken sizes to begin with, must be soul destroying.
Prime Directive was a weird animal, because despite appearances, it wasn’t a tabletop RPG based around Star Trek, but around the long running Star Fleet Battles board game from the 1970s. Because it was made before the movies and next generation, the board game spun off and developed this totally mind-boggling counter-continuity. It’s like the original series in an alternate universe. Because Star Fleet Battles didn’t use the Star Trek trademark, it had a way cheaper licensing fee, so it was a way for smaller publishers to get a “Star Trek RPG” on the cheap.
The “hook” of Prime Directive is that the PCs are members of “Prime Teams,” squads of Starfleet officers and other oddballs who go on impossible missions that require scientific, technical, and commando expertise. Kind of reminds me of Mass Effect, actually.
What’s interesting is how the alternate “counter-continuity” of Prime Directive developed on lines similar to the later spin off shows, long before they came out. For example, the Federation faces a mostly unstoppable invasion of superadvanced machine creatures (this time, related to the Andromeda aliens), and also encounter an “evil Federation” on the far side of the galaxy (basically, the Dominion before the Dominion existed).

In the advertising campaign for the Star Trek 2009 movie, advertising partners were sought to promote the film. One of them was Esurance, an American insurance company. They produced a flash game starring their mascot, Erin Esurance, called Delta Vega: Meltdown on the Ice Planet.
In the game, you shot your way though five levels of enemies (which consisted of random creatures) in order to rescue Keenser from the outpost we see from the film.
Unfortunately, I can’t find the game itself, and there aren’t even many screenshots of it.

Hey remember in DS9 that time when Jadzia was literally sat pondering this... thing.
(I've seen this episode half a dozen times and yet my brain refuses to absorb this scene or retain basically anything involving Jadzia or Julian in the first season)

This is probably just my opinion but I don't really feel all that anal-retentive about canon. Lower Decks mobile game is just as canon as Lower Decks the show. Same with TOS and TAS, and Worf having kids with Deanna and Jadzia in different timelines.
