when i imagine a hypothetical world where patriarchy continues where trans women are included in the lower class, i imagine something like the ancient greek and roman states.
these societies were both heavily patriarchal, and in both it was normal for adolescent boys to be seen as objects of male desire, the same way as girls. upon reaching adulthood, most boys would become Men, reproducing the same patriarchal relations with women and feminine males as the other Men around them. some men would choose to continue their feminine presentations despite male puberty, and have relations with more masculine Men - these were called cinaedi, and were often depicted in greek and roman plays as existing in distinct subcultures within their respective societies, which might be compared to modern male homosexual subcultures.
some boys however, upon reaching adulthood, would (either by choice or by force) never go through the male puberty which was seen as the end of one's feminine role. this was done via castration - the cessation of one's production of testosterone, the masculinizing hormone. such boys who became eunuchs often became venerated wives, concubines, and even empresses. the example that most often comes to my mind is that of sporus, wife of nero, but there are many others if one goes looking.
what i see as the difference between a hypothetical modern society and that of the ancients is the existence of hormone replacement therapy and surgery. HRT not only has the ability to suppress one's testosterone before male puberty can run its course, but to actively replace it with estrogen. natal males who take HRT can not only become visually indistinguishable from natal women, but through vaginoplasty it is possible to completely eradicate any trace of her maleness, should her Man desire.
another benefit given by the existence of HRT is the possibility of the masculinization of natal females. while there was no medical procedure in ancient times which made such a thing readily possible, modern HRT and phalloplasty does, providing an avenue for those who wish to escape their class and join the ranks of Men subjugating the women around them to do so.
my point is that medical transition and the ability for those in a society to cross the boundaries between sex is not something which inherently undermines patriarchy, as many of those small-minded in the modern day who call themselves "conservatives" or "traditionalists" would have you believe as dogma. there is in fact historical precedent in these societies that, if integrated into society properly, they can be powerful tools for upholding patriarchy - allowing those natal males unworthy of being among the ranks of Men to change their class and instead serve those very Men as slavewives with three holes and tits as any valuable cunt in such a society should. and on the other hand, natal females who prove themselves capable of upholding the values of patriarchy and subjugating the cunts around them likewise have an avenue to rise above and and join the ranks of true Men through masculinizing HRT, which not only ceases female puberty but gives the increased muscle mass, strength, and aggression that comes with a body with testosterone in its veins.
in such a society, not only would patriarchy not be opposed by those who don't fit cleanly into the binary assigned to them at birth, but would actually be made stronger by them. because while not all males are truly Superior, and not all females are truly inferior, those who are will occupy their natural station, and those who aren't may cross the lines into their truly natural role. and the end result is more obedient cunts for those who deserve it, and a culturally-enforced lifetime of subservience for those who don't. and i can imagine no more beautiful world <3
