I'm begging people to stop saying "non transitioning" when they mean "non medically transitioning" like I'm sorry do you think social transition isn't transition? if someone hasn't yet or doesnt want to pursue hormones or surgery are they the same as someone who is still fully in the closet?

every time I see this it's like... really hard to shake the implication in the language that if you don't medically transition then you are less trans (like why else would social transition not be counted as transition?) and while it probably isnt always that deep I just have to say that the worry isnt like about #validity or whatever you gotta understand that by implying someone is less trans you are also implying they are less of their gender
