I’ve never made a post like this, but this is something that matters very deeply to me, and something I want to see happen for my friend.

In July of this year, my dear friend Sol ( @harmony-station ) is coming to stay with me in my home for a week, and attend a convention with me before heading home. I have known Sol for seven years since meeting on the Invader Zim Message Boards, and the two of us have grown closer and closer throughout the years. To be able to meet them is a dream come true.

But Sol isn’t just here to visit me. They’re coming here to seek out mental health help, and to scope out potential housing and colleges.

For the seven years I have known Sol, four of them have involved an increasingly worse mental state that they are unable to seek help for in their home state, due to their ableist parents and financial reasons. By coming here, they will have the chance to get a diagnosis, and hopefully medication and the ability to seek further therapy.

They already have the money for a flight; but we need help to make the other fees happen.

Recently, to help fund the trip, Sol has opened commissions. Though they have already made a post about it on both tumblr, deviantart, and twitter, I felt the need to help spread the word by making this post.

If you are unable to commission, please spread this and the original commission post around. We only need $400 dollars to fund the doctor visit and the other expenses of the trip, including food, uber fees, and everything else. Anything extra will be used for… extras.

As much as I can’t wait to meet my best friend, my main concern is getting them to be able to resolve the issues that have plagued them for so long. This is a chance they might not get for a long time afterward.

Hello! I’m opening PayPal commissions to help me fund a trip to Indiana for one week! I plan on going on college tours, scouting out future housing, and finding a psychiatrist to test me and prescribe medication for my mental illnesses. Due to my current living arrangements and parents, I cannot do any of these things as-is. Thus why I need the money to travel in a few months!
