That I do. I'm not just some dumb hillbilly, despite what people might say.
Do you have selective hearing? Or reading, I guess in this case. That's not what that phrase means. But I'll spell it out for you, pretty boy. No, I don't give a crap. That better, or do I need to go slower?

You have family here? You're lucky, I'm all alone. I don't. We went separate ways, but I have my show choir people. Those first weeks were all about survival. I can handle myself now.
Thank you, I'd gladly take your spot. It's been my dream since I was fifteen. It's flattering that you think a frat guy could be intimidated by me, I appreciate it. Okay, A it is. At least the weather has been decent so I won't freeze my tits off trying to give douchebag energy.
Yeah, I got an older brother, Sam, and sister, Stacey. Evans. I'm sorry, man. We could adopt ya. Pretty sure none of them would mind. That's good then. You're at Dalton, right? Do you like it there?
I don't know why they wouldn't be. I mean, I don't know you that much but you seem pretty cool. Then again, not sure praise from me is considered much, but still. Yeah you still got a couple months I think until that happens. Then maybe you can pull out the beer hat. Do they actually sell those anywhere?
i mean, i have a pretty active imagination, but not even i can make a hacky sack appear from thin air...i'm betting it was shrooms. oh no, joining a pretend hacky sack game is a slippery slope. soon, you're not going to class and playing pretend dance-dance revolution.
I'll take your word for it, because my knowledge on the subject is slim to none. Honestly that sounds like a fun idea. Might spice class up a little. Maybe they were practicing their mime skills. Does that count as acting?
hey, i don't criticize your hobbies. i mean, i would if i knew what they were, but, the point is - let me enjoy being a hater. you get to make your little posts, i get to complain about them, we all win.
Would not surprise me if you did. I guess if you continue to follow along then you might piece it together. Fine by me. I honestly could care less what you think, but glad I can be a source of entertainment.

thank you, stevie! i just figured we could all use a little bonding time. glad to hear you'll be there, and hopefully your siblings will be there to! i haven't done a whole lot of grilling in my life, so i'll definitely take you up on that offer.
You're welcome, and thank you! I like that idea. And, if I man then grill then I don't have to small talk as much. Not that I don't want to bond with others but, you know. I'm not exactly Mr. Social Butterfly. I would be surprised if they didn't show. I'd be happy to show the ropes if you want.
i'm really hoping it was at least an iced coffee? to avoid any danger. you can always print a new syllabus, but going to the ER is a hassle. as for chaos...i saw a couple of guys playing hacky sack on the quad this morning, but there was no hacky sack? i'm thinking there might've been some recreational drugs involved.
Sadly it was not. Luckily I managed to jump just before it could scald me though. That's true. I definitely don't need to go to the ER this early on. Maybe by the end of the football season, though hopefully not then either. Either that, or they have amazing imaginations. You should have asked to join, just to get their reaction.
You definitely need a buddy system. That’s the only reason I didn’t get completely lost my first week. I found someone who had almost all the same classes, and we just... kind of stuck together. Walked everywhere like nervous ducklings.
No chaos on my end, though. I’ve been trying to get invited to a frat party because that’s been on my list since I grew up watching way too many raunchy 2000s comedies, but I haven't caught any frat guy's attention yet. Fingers crossed. Maybe I should walk around with my top off or with one of those beer drinking hats.
I could probably tag along with one of my siblings, but I don't wanna drag them with me. They definitely have better things to do. I like the buddy idea though. That's pretty cool! Do you still hang with them?
That's not a bad thing. Oh god, that sounds like nightmare fuel for me. If I ever get an invite to one (highly unlikely), you can take my spot. Maybe you have but they're intimidated or shy. They can't all be part of the trope. I think that would seem like you're trying too hard. Although I'm sure it would garner some attention. I'd say go with option A. B might seem like too much.
Sounds like you've had quite the struggle this week, bro. Chaos? Me? I forgot to save an audio of a song I was putting together and it was almost done. Back to square one for me.
I did. Last week, anyway. Hopefully this one will be easier. It's a little too early to tell yet. Oh damn, really? I'm sorry, Stace. That's the worst. Lemme know if you need any help and I'll try my best. Unless you're keeping it under wraps.

Weekly recap: survived practice, got lost trying to find a new classroom, spilled coffee on my syllabus, and somehow still feel like I’m doing alright.
How about you guys? What kind of chaos did you walk into?
my parents are off on a cruise this week, which means i've got the house to myself. and what better way to take advantage of that than with a little end-of-summer celebration? this was originally going to be a dalton-only thing, but then i figured this might be a great opportunity for a little cross-glee club bonding to celebrate the start of the new show choir season. we might be in rival glee clubs, but that doesn't mean we have to actually be rivals all the time, right?
so, in the spirit of show choir unity, you're all officially invited to a little soirée this saturday at my place! there will be a heated pool and hot tub, snacks (requests are welcome), drinks (ditto) and some good old karaoke. i'd like to avoid any current show choir talk, though, just to keep things light and let the drama stay on stage. the only exception to this rule is anything pre-2000, as i've heard some rumours about your show choir director, new directions, and i need answers.
let me know if you're in and i'll text you the address! bathing suits are not optional (unless you're not planning on using the hot tub or pool, of course).
hope to see you there! ☀️
@encorehqsstarters
That's really cool of you to put this together, Blaine. And especially that you want to include all of the show choirs from around. I think that speaks a lot to your character. I'd definitely love to drop by! If you need someone to man the grill, I volunteer. Or I can at least bring something.
Just overheard a girl in my lecture say she’s “not like other girls” because she doesn’t wear makeup. Babe, you’re not like other girls because other girls have taste. This is college, not the pick me girl Olympics. Anyway, I showed up late, looked better than everyone, and still managed to make the TA nervous. Honestly? If you’re not causing at least one minor identity crisis per week, what are you even doing here? @encorehqsstarters
I can say with certainty that I've never caused an identity crisis and I don't ever see that happening, but, congrats? If that's your thing. Personally, I'm here to learn and participate and all that, but you do you.

So, who else loves this time of year if not for going back to classes and seeing friend, but new school supplies !!! I swear i didn't need half this stuff - but these cute hello kitty highlighters kinda sold it for me (they where only like three bucks!). Though on the opposite end of that, i did spend a hundred dollars and Michael's for a new sketch book and art pencils - and thats WITH a coupon. Anyways... you ready for classes to start back up?
You're way more prepared than me. As long as I have something to write with, and write in, then I'm good. Although I probably could invest in a new highlighter. Mine is barely visible at this point. Kinda defeats the purpose. It's crazy how expensive art supplies are, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. What's your favorite kind of art to do?
Stevie Evans is a quiet mix of southern charm, artistic soul, and steady hands. He is majoring in Music Therapy, where he blends emotional depth with creative expression. He’s an athlete, but you’re just as likely to find him under the hood of a car as you are on a field or stage.
When he's not in class or volunteering at the therapeutic riding center, he's tuning guitars, working on old trucks, or playing piano for kids at the local hospital. Horses calm him, music heals him, and engines give him something to fix that doesn’t talk back. He’s got an older brother Sam, a sister named Stacey, and a quiet, unshakeable loyalty to the people he cares about.
Stevie isn’t loud or flashy, but he’s consistent, compassionate, and deeper than most people notice at first glance. He leads with empathy, reads people better than they realize, and says more in music than he does in words. He’s the kind of guy who will help you fix your car, remember your favorite song, and ask how you're doing like he actually wants to know. Because he does.
aesthetics: fresh notebooks with frayed corners, morning sunlight over open fields, black tea with honey, soft flannel shirts, the hum of a guitar string just before it’s tuned, the smell of cedarwood and laundry sheets, quiet smiles and muddy boots, calloused fingertips, deep stares
