So I never got around to posting the finished piece I did for the Not Without You Stucky anthology. MY BAD!

Commission piece for lillithdv8, who waited so long for me to complete this, I had to draw a whole new arm for Bucky. Thanks again for your endless patience, and for introducing me to the term – cafuné.

Here’s my second and final piece for Born of Necessity aka the Orcling fic. My one contribution to this collaboration was convincing the author that this wrestling scene needed to happen sans shirts xD

In the time before the ocean’s rise, before men left their hiding places and stretched out across the earth, taming rivers and forests and all in their path, there lived a half-orc boy named Steve. All his childhood, Steve was told by the people of his town that he was born of a forced union between his orc father and his human mother. But Steve knew the truth. He remembered late night visits and secret weekends away together, where his father would play pat-pat with him and dance with his mother in front of the fire. Steve knew the truth: he had been born of love. Cast out of his human village, Steve will seek out his father only to find that love can be true but tainted as a mysterious warrior named Bucky exposes the terrible secret of the orcling army. This is the story of how Steve found his way in the world and discovered the cost of love and the loneliness of sacrifice.

So I finally crossed off a long-held fanart goal of mine – to draw a Harlequin romance cover xD. It was a pleasure to collab with Tsumi (again) and Bette Noire for the first time. Her Big Bang NOVEL (because calling it fanfic doesn’t do it justice) was a privilege to read, and I only wish I had enough time to complete more illustrations for it.

Art for The Scottish Boy by Bette Noire (Stucky Medieval AU, 120k) The year is 1333. The English are at war with Scotland. 19-year-old West Country knight Sir Steven excels at jousting, but yearns to prove himself in real action. So he jumps when his sponsor, Baron Alexander Pierce, invites him on a secret mission with a dozen elite knights. They ride north to a crumbling Scottish keep, capturing the feral, half-starved boy within and putting the other inhabitants to the sword. And nobody knows, or nobody is saying, why the flower of English knighthood snuck over the border to capture a savage, dirty teenage boy. Pierce gives the boy to Steve as his squire, with only two rules: don’t let the boy escape, and convert him to the English cause.

Innumerable thanks to both @claudia-flies and zilia for writing the Stucky reunion fandom deserves. And since I spent an inordinate amount of time on the motorcycle and getting Bucky’s o-face expression right, I felt entitled to forgo painting the actual backgrounds :P

Art for a road less traveled by Claudia_flies & zilia (Stucky | 2012 AU | 75K) Steve wakes up on the cold stone floor of the foyer. He scrambles up; there’s glass shards everywhere and they crunch under his gloved hands. People are staring, holding themselves back. They must have seen the fight, must have seen two of him. His own voice rings in his head. “Bucky is alive!” It’s all gone FUBAR in 2012.

Steve never went to the war.

Bucky never fell off the train and never was captured by Hydra.

He came back to Steve in 1945.

They lived in Brooklyn happily ever after.

Finally fulfilling that long overdue promise to draw Artist!Steve. Many thanks to Brie (aka MurphyAT) for writing this lovely, magical story.

A story of the magic in the restoration of heart(h) and home, a very grumpy and very adorable Bucky, and the tiny stubborn man he couldn’t help but fall in love with.
