have you seen yourself in the mirror?  is the first thing doc things but he bites that back. â well i can roll down my sock and prove it to you, if you like, â he said cocking a brow. â mineâs on my ankle. itâs a stethoscope, like yours. â
willow swallowed, he seemed so.... confident in himself like he had the right person. she looked down to his clothed ankle and back up to his eyes. was she ready? he more than likely hadnât been seeing her mark so slowly willow nodded at the man. âshow me,â she whispered finally feeling as though her nod alone wasnât enough.

ââ  âĽÂ  Brynneâs interest perked up as the woman talked about how her mother used to help with it. She wanted to ask more, but the use of past tense made her cautious. âIâm glad they did. She must have been quite the woman,â she said, her voice soft. It might be a touchy subject, so she quickly offered a smile and moved on to the compliment. âThank you, thatâs kind.â She took a look around for a moment, then returned her attention to the stranger. âSo, do I take it you grew up here?â
willow was more than happy the other did ask more about her mother, it might have been years since her death but it still felt like yesterday with how willow found her. âshe was,â willow offered, she wanted to add more but if she did it would move with her word vomiting far too much information. âI did, Iâm just recently back though from touring the country for a ballet show.â

bishop wasnât sure how to process the fact that the woman had a soulmark identical to his own. he had never thought about finding his soulmate, actively avoided thinking about it due to his knowledge and experience of it in his family. he cleared his throat and shook his head. he managed to force out a laugh at her comment about not being abused. âthatâs not-â he replied, swallowing thickly and shaking his head as he ran his fingers through his hair. âi need a drink. you want a drink? i think i could use a drink.â trying to keep his cool facade even as he felt shaky.Â
just like with her father she wondered what she had done wrong. her frowned deepened but nodded. âsure,â she replied noticeably less perky and happy as she had been seconds before. she still had some self control and was able to bite back her tongue on asking why he changed in seconds.Â
emsworthsâ:
wait - what. as the words registered, it caused an immediate change in demeanor. â oh - oh no, no no no â was all seb managed to get out in a mildly panicked stutter as he threw up his hands in front of him - like that would somehow shield him from impending doom? any effort he had ever put into a cool and unruffled persona went out the window at the mere mention of dancing. â that would - that would not be a great idea â maybe not a great explanation but how exactly did one say hey, actually I am a dancer but Iâve been avoiding any form of dancing at all for the past 2 years because Iâm afraid if I go back to it Iâm going to be terrible and I donât think Iâd be able to handle that so no thank you, Iâll pass.
âits okay youâre with a professional,â she replied, raising an eyebrow at the other. but it seemed as though the man in front of her was terrified at dancing. âbut why would it not be a good idea?â
reaganwheelerâ:
âsounds like we should head over there together, huh?â reagan teased, a little drunker than she thought she was. âwhat are you looking at?â she asked, leaning over to peek at the menu.
"the selection of fancy drinks theyâre offering in honor of all this,â willow replied, giggling at the girls actions but handed over the menu.
technicvlorâ:
ââ  âĽÂ  Brynne had moved here from New York City, and despite the fact she grew up in a small town, she wasnât used to things like this. She couldnât remember the last time she had felt a part of a community, and here in Jericho she did. She was distracted by all the decorations, her eyes wandering around. Maybe other people would think it was weird, but Brynne was the daughter of an interior designer, and an event planner. This, quite literally, was her life. She looked up from the wall, a little embarrassed at being startled. âItâs beautiful,â she responded, looking around again. âAs is your dress, by the way,â she said, her gaze finally finding something other than the flowers.
willow was taking it all in, as did it seem the other girl was as well. it was nice to see someone take a moment to appreciate the small things in life. besides her mother had been a gardener and most of willowâs life had been outside running around as her mother tended to flowers. âit is very beautiful, my mom used to help decorate before she passed, its nice to see some small details they kept from her,â willow offered. âthank you, you look beautiful as well.â
cvnnectednessâ:
tommaso wasnât sure he was even going to make it to the ball, he couldnât dance to save his life and he wasnât exactly a let loose kind of guy. the man stood rather awkwardly with his hands shoved in his pockets as he scanned the area for a familiar face he could latch on to in attempts to make himself look a little less lost. his gaze fell on a face heâd seen before, though he couldnât quite put his finger on where. it wasnât until he noticed her notice him that he realized heâd had a small conversation with her before. â oh - uh, no i cannot dance, â he replied with a nervous chuckle, hoping she wouldnât rope him into it.
willow frowned looking at the man. âcannot dance and wonât dance are too very separate things,â she pointed out to him, her frown turning into a smile hoping it would help him to stop looking so awkward in the spot he was standing.

Just what I want So when we move You move
consqiracyâ:
he blinked the second she moved, realizing heâd let his shock show on his features. that was the same mark as the one on his ankle â the one heâd had since he was born, the one that had convinced his parents to name him caradoc and not james. heâd seen it all his life, he knew. jericho really was a special place. â no, umâŚÂ â but how did he explain it? hi, iâm your soulmate just didnât sound right in his head. â your mark. itâs⌠well itâs, uh, mine too. â
that made a tipsy willow... kinda sober up. she felt more alert but still it was slow to register. she stopped for a moment and shook her head. âthere is no way a god like you,â she stopped just to point at the man. âis a soulmate to a mess like me.â and then she pointed to herself.Â
bishopmartinezâ:
bishop may not have wanted to attend that night, but he wasnât about to spend it being miserable in a corner. he allowed himself to enjoy it, helping himself to drinks at the bar. it was nice when he didnât have to be the one serving it for a night, even though he did enjoy his job. he smiled when he noticed the familiar face from afar as the woman he had met the other day. âthat obvious, am i?â he asked, cheeks dimpling with a grin as she approached him. he allowed himself to take her in, eyes running over willowâs body. âcanât help but want to spend more time with you, babe,â he said before freezing when he caught sight of the bare, marked skin. suddenly feeling like he had cold water dumped over his head when he realized she had his mark on her skin. that wasnât, she couldnât- but it was and she is. he swallowed thickly and blinked, squeezing his eyes a little to check if they were playing tricks on him.Â
willow loved how this man could just flirt, and flirt and flirt. and the dimple grin? oh if she had about five more shots in her system she might just be drooling and on the floor bowing at his feet just because of that dimple. his soulmate was such a lucky person, and really that didnât mean willow couldnât just... look right? she wasnât bonded herself yet. âI am very happy the feeling is mutual,â willow replied, leaning up against the bat as she just looked to him. she frowned seeing his face dropped and looked down to her exposed skin. âif you see a bruise, Iâm not abused, I swear. I just bump into a lot of things and fall because of ballet.â

ezekiel  desperately  wanted  a  drink.  he  had  gotten  very  skilled  at  watching  others  drink  and  still  resit  his  own  urges  throughout  the  years,  but  that  night  it  was  particularly  hard  to  restrain  himself;  it  was  a  party,  after  all,  one  of  zekeâs  favorites,  and  he  knew  it  would  be  that  much  more  fun  if  he  could  simply  take  a  shot  like  the  woman  a  few  feet  away  from  him  had  done.  he  blushed  slightly  at  being  caught  staring,  shaking  his  head  in  denial  almost  immediately  at  her  words.  â  god,  no.  â  he  laughed.  â  iâm  a  horrendous  dancer.  if  youâd  like  to  keep  your  toes,  iâd  think  twice  about  that.  â
willow could not register what no meant. she narrowed her eyes for a moment before shaking her head. she kept her hands out to the man. âits okay, please break a toe or three, I could use a day off from my job,â she replied, trying to reassure the man.
reaganwheelerâ:
reagan watched as the younger woman approached her, laughing a little bit at her words. âi donât know if that was in my eyes, but sure, i would love to dance.â she chuckled, grabbing willowâs hand. âiâm glad the answer is yes, though. whatâs your name?â
"willow,â she answered, offering a more wide smile as the women accepted her hand. âI must warn you, I might actually dance circles around you.â and willow was far too gone to understand that might come out rude leading her brain to register than about 15 seconds later. she gave the girl a cheesy grin as an apology before opening her mouth again.
âbecause I am...â she made awful jazz hands. âa dancer.â

reaganwheelerâ:
if reagan was back in connecticut, she wouldâve made a point to stay at home. it wasnât that she was a recluse or anything, she just hated the way that her parents and their friends threw events just to flaunt what they had. since jericho was definitely not like that, she was actually excited to get all dressed up and meet some of the new people who had come to town. it didnât hurt that she had a couple of shots of tequila before leaving the house and making her way to city hall. once she got there, she walked in, finding her way to the ballroom and looking around, eyes catching someone a few feet away. âhey,â she started, moving over to them. âdo you know if thereâs gonna be food at this? iâm strangely in the mood for those little pigs in a blanket.â
willow was looking over the menu of what special drinks that had been made in honor of this occasion. she wasnât a drinker, most of the time, but she recently had been shown she might take work a little too seriously and needed to live a little. and what better way than a ball?Â
she looked up when she heard heels coming towards her. she offered a smile and nodded. âyeah right over there, I was just on my way after I looked at this.â
consqiracyâ:
it was a good evening. groundbreaking, no, but good. heâd had a few drinks from the open bar, scarfed down some of the catering when no one was looking ( what, he was hungry ), and chatted with both familiar and unfamiliar faces. no, this was a good evening. and so, when willow approached him, he smiled at her though theyâd only met once. â oh? youâre a mind reader now? well, iâ â the jovial smile on his lips fell as he stopped mid-sentence, eyes zeroing in on the exposed bit of skin that revealed her mark. his mark.
willow was happy, it was the cute man she had seen on her walk home from practice. she wondered when she would see him again, it was weird, how he seemed to have a calm about him. she wondered how he did it. (she couldnât relate). her smile slipped to a frown as she looked down, and did a spin trying to find what he was looking at before she looked back up at him. âdid I spill a shot or something on myself?â she asked.
