Stephy Winn, Graphic Designer

This week I have managed to pull the HTC group together and it was the most stressful thing to do but I learnt one big lesson that you can not give up because something has gone wrong and you must carry on. One person in the group that was designing the app had some trouble and did not consult me or the group about it and did her own thing. It looked nothing like the rest of the work and I knew it would look bad. I had to get this person and sit with them give them everything they needed and tell them what to do which we already had done in a previous meeting after client feedback.  I was not expecting to have to babysit a person in the group but I was determined to make it right and took time out of my scheduele to fix it knowing no one else in the group was bothered. I felt like the only person that cared. I then had to mount up everyones work and make it look presentable with a little help from another team member. I’m happy that it came together in the end but I know that if I did not step up that would not of happened and it was handed in on time. The THSH project went well this week although it was very tedious, annoying, time consuming and stressfull for me. I ended up spending most of the week putting this app together and making it work but my god it was worth it in the end. It came out really good and I gave it to people so they could play around with it and reponses were really good. It was nice to see peoples reactions after I put so much effort into creating it, its a piece of work that I’m really rather proud of creating seeing it work makes all the difference.

This week on Monday we had a new briefing and I ended up doing a lot of research into the THSH project. We had to be in groups and I’m with Kieran, Rebecca and Davina. Our group is rather strong and we decided to have a brainstorm and what we could do and to recognise what was already out there. On this project I ended up doing a few logo designs which is’nt my strong point but I still wanted to try it and push myself. I experimented with logos and incorperating music based symbols within it but I wanted to try and avoid the obvious because the project and discounts does not just include music but comedy and other entertainment. I tried really hard to be out there and different and created a few designs. On the Holy Trinity project I have finalised the small things on my components but a team member is yeat to pick a body font and is holding back the group in people being avle to finish. I’m trying my best to push this as much as I can so we can get this done and finished as a group. I’m realizing that you need alot of patience, determination, understanding and skill to be a leader of a project. This week I was dissapointed that I wasn’t able to get anything done on the menu project but I’m not that worried about that project because I sort of know what I want and where I want the menu project to go.
