I technically haven’t gotten to Grant yet episode wise but I heard it has to do with fortnite and some kid name Yeet so let’s be real here that’s definitely where he wanted to be

But taking all this into account they were all put places where they wanted to be, where they thought they’d be happy and suddenly their dad’s show up and “ruin” it. Maybe this isn’t about fixing something that was ruined in them/for them but rather showing their fathers how they “hurt” them, how they made them what they are and suffering for it like they suffered.

ALTERNATE THEORY!!! what if the robes are different versions of the DADS!?!?!? A version where they lost their kids and it was their fault!! It’s why the robes knew exactly where to hurt them, why they grew so angry when there was no sign of growth after saving their kids, which would also explain why the purple robe taking Terry Jr would have said all that about Ron because who believes in Ron the least when it comes to being a father? That’s right, Ron himself!

And finally, crack theory time, all the purple robes are the dead dads of the main dads and that’s why they’re trying to take their kids away because they don’t think they’re doing a good job raising their kids. Cause like I’m pretty sure they’ve all talked about having a bad relationship with their dads (or at least iffy ones) other than I think Glenn, so end boss would be dads conquering the fear and pain they hold of THEIR dads

Like, 6 or 7 episodes ago I theorized that Grant and the other kids go on to become the purple robes after their dads die or abandon them. It was more or less a joke at the time but... um...

All the kids have been pretty thoroughly traumatized. The twins had a tower dropped on them, terry jr watched his "dad" die again, grant was basically forced to kill the chimera in the worst way possible. Trauma has been a big theme - cern, ron's dad, the blood pact. Trauma changing you is literally a plot point.
