Beyond the Time and Stars

Starshipping is really great for a lot of reasons other than the fact that they are supposedly polar opposites of one another.

First of all, Judai and Yusei are not that different, and they certainly aren’t opposites. Sure, there are a lot of contrasting elements in their respective personalities: for example, where Judai may be rather rough around the edges and might be somewhat impatient, Yusei is gentle and even-tempered. However, if you look closely at their characters you might find that there are more similarities between them than most people initially think.

Their morals, for instance. Friendship is something they both value above what is considered average. Their cards are nearly family to them; souls that they bond and develop companionship with as opposed to tools for victory. Both also have the ability to become hard as stone when either one of these elements is threatened by an opposing force, and the strength with which they will use to protect them at all cost is astonishing. You can see it in their faces–their expressions and how similar they appear as they discover the severity of the situation. Because of this, both are also leaders of equal caliber, born to be heroes of their own respective timelines and born to lead those in time of adversity.

30 Days OTP Challenge Day 1 - Holding hand also known as “Crap we’re surrounded by human shapes”

I really needed a distraction today, and since I’m finally able to draw again with my computer, I finally finished the first entry of the OTP challenge I decided to start. I finally can use Clip Paint Lab again (even if now it’s called CLIP STUDIO PAINT), and the new version has lots of new and cool features. I had fun putting all those… mannequins here and there, even if my computer was about to explode :V

I decided to put on Yusei the outfit he wears in the last episodes of 5D’s, but when I realized the color palette was almost the same as Jun’s it was too late
