Zombies are very busy I suppose, and I guess the moment of birth is not the most important milestone to celebrate anymore either depending on how you look at it, since that life ended already.

Also Saki mentions her birthdays were always celebrated with her friends at drive-in-tori which makes sense, but it is notable that this is another instance where mentioning her family would make sense and it does not happen. Considering Reiko explicitly became a delinquent because of a troubled home life and Saki told Sakura about how she used to feel the whole world was her enemy before meeting Reiko, it makes me again think about how Saki probably did not have a very good relationship with her family.

Hmmm. Personally I do not think we will get a third season, I think the movie left it open for a third season just in case but I suspect Mappa has other priorities, but Cygames might get another studio to make it I suppose so will have to see.

As for the question... I do not think the curse is going to be lifted at all. I have actually wanted to talk about my thoughts on the curse for a while though so I am glad to be asked about it. But more on that further down.

But as for if I think they will become human if the curse is beaten, I sincerely doubt it. They were fully dead (and probably cremated) pre resurrection. My thinking is that if the curse gets lifted franchouchou will remain as zombies or go back to being dead. But I doubt the series would end on them all dying (would feel a bit weird with the themes imo and ZLS is an overall optimistic series). More specifically I think that if they do make a definitive final season, it will no longer be a secret that they are zombies by the end of it but they will stick around and continue performing. There is a lot of emphasis in some of their songs on the idea of franchouchou being eternal and this comes up several times in the show too.

They might even have the final performance of the season be done without makeup in that case.

Ok so about the curse... I think a lot of people view the curse as an obstacle to beat rather than a metaphor for misfortune and hardship.

I often see people speculate on what cursed Saga and such but I think that is not the right way to think about this. How the curse happened and how to end it are not relevant to what Zombieland Saga is about.

ZLS is about getting back up again no matter how many times you fall. It is about how failure is not the end. It is about how you should keep trying despite the hardships. And it is about inspiring that in each other. So the curse is not a thing to end, beating the curse does not mean lifting it but rather succeeding in spite of it I think.

They never explain how the curse works in the show because it is not particularly relevant to what the show is actually about. It is mostly just a plot device to justify the amount of misfortune that happens and explain why Kotaro is obsessed with saving Saga (which I think it was not even really necessary for).

Oh look, Nr 3 caught unaware in a dishevelled state she would never have been seen in around fans what a special picture that got snapped in this normal domestic moment of her life giving the fans a view into it.

Probably took Kotaro and Ai like 30 minutes of prep time to prepare and that only because Kotaro is a makeup god. (Sidenote i love her nr 3 mug).

Kotaro blew so much money on waterproofing spray here that food for Kotaro and franchouchou for the foreseeable future is whatever rations they had stocked up.

But I think the best one for that is christmas morning:

Assuming this is their first christmas there, this also can't be morning as we see that in the drama CD. Also if you look it is clearly dark outside. But, well, they have different pajamas here than normal, so it was clothing for the shoot, and they have the makeup on. Kotaro turned opening their christmas presents into work.

Which is a very Kotaro thing, he is very tsundere, so I could totally buy that he would get them christmas presents they would actually want, but also he would turn it into work because something something lazy zombies and they should just think about saving Saga and he did not get them anything because he thinks they deserve it or he cares about them, no its just a marketing thing.

But it took me until today to beat the Great Watchdog without using any of Kushinada's dango. While I can pretty comfortably beat all the other bosses without.

So I am turning to the wider mecha community for wisdom from those more experienced than me.

Post detailing all the various Amiya compare/contrast characters in arknights and how I think they do with those (with bonus Vi^3 and Perlica from HGs other games). This one should be not that hard to finish up since i won't go that in depth on any.

Amiya and Wis'adel relationship deep dive from chapter 1 to chapter 14 (and its aftermath) with some extra bonus speculations I had which turned out to be untrue (and speculation on my part which of those I think were at some point intended and which I was just wrong on). This one is running way too long already and I am still talking about chapter 3. Probably gonna have to split into multiple.

Post talking about how things like clothing and makeup plays into Wis'adel´s themes of identity and connects her to the people important to her like Theresa (rewriting this one because I originally wrote it while complaining about something only tangentially related before being sidetracked and I wanna scrub traces of my bitterness).

Post talking about some of my favorite paragons. Specifically focusing on ones I think are slightly atypical. This one is already getting long despite not having talked about all the ones I planned to yet. Might split into 3 posts, one for each.

Post talking about a smut fic that is one of the best things I have ever read and I absolutely love and that rewired my creative brain a bit, but is about a ship that is so cursed I read it in the first place out of morbid curiosity (I still do not think those two characters would ever bone but the fic is such a good character exploration on aspects that kinda never will get spotlighted in that way due to the tone of canon). This one I am mostly worried nobody will care but me and I struggle on some word choices.

Post explaining why I think Yan/Vi^3 reminds me of Kal/Theresa which is really just an excuse to talk about two ships I love. But I do also think there are interesting parallels to draw. Just, there is a lot to go through.

Post trying to explain why Alea Iacta Est is the most narratively satisfying ending and the one that makes most sense for 621 and Ayre as characters even if most players think liberator is more of a "good ending".

Complaining about that one gamepress article attempting to character analyse Wis'adel (well this was written pre name so W) via misunderstanding the wiremom and clothmom experiment and also using tarot theming for some reason (please pick one framework gamepress). I should probably delete that one too because nothing good comes from gamepress arknights articles.

Because in game they actually never spell it out. There are a few instances in the shadow of a dying sun arc where she causes explosions from supposedly buried mines that she should not have been able to place at all because she had never been in that location before (most notably of the top of my head she does this in chapter 13). It is also mentioned how she blew up something that should not be possible to blow up with the amount of explosives she had at the time (there is the possibility thrown in that maybe with extremely precise usage of it could work, but still odd).

And obviously these could easily be chalked up to just, the writers not explaining how she planted those explosives because they couldn't think of how (but then they could have just chosen to not have that happen) or that she is some sort of once in a lifetime math and physics genius (she is actually good at this stuff we are shown, but she seems to just be, better than most and not like some super genius). But in the Dagger's Inheritors we are directly shown that she can turn rocks (I assume rocks with high enough amount of originium particles in them since it does seem like she can't freely turn just anything into a bomb) into bombs by touching them.
