To start off, those three bullies sound so pathetic, I'm sorry but they genuinely sound so pathetic, like I do not understand why they are so obsessive over breaking couples up?? were they all heartbroken or something??? Genuinely so pathetic but they were a pretty powerful akuma honestly. Also its funny but lila has like clearly reached cult status because like brooo why were they doing a whole ritual for the power to just break up a couple?? Like bro they are genuinely so pathetic. Anyway they really aren't that interesting just bullies who are extremely annoying but also very competent, Lila on the other hand is so much more interesting.

Lila is genuinely so terrifying that I love her. Like brooo she actually suspects Marinette of being ladybug and no one else came close. Lila basically continues to be a very compelling villain. Also this episode proves that yes Lila is in the school because theres no other way she could be in the school library, now the remaining question is, who is she in the school??? Will we ever see her in her civillian form?? Like I am genuinely so curious, I want to see who Lila is, People keep saying it Aglae and I guess that is feasible because why was she the only classmate shown? But then could it really be her because if shes chrysalis then they shouldn't see her right and they need pictures to take on forms so thats a bit confusing but also why was she the only one who came up. I know Prem counts but you see we see his real self too but with Algae we don't at all so it could really be her. She's also never got akumatised, in wreckless driver it was the therapist who did but also she looks so innocent in the wreckless driver episode that I genuinely cant see it but we haven't had any other side characters who weren't already on the show fleshed out, just Aglae but also you could argue that in season 5 post credits, Lila assumes the identity Cerise right? Unless I'm mistaken, I haven't watched season 5 in so long.

Anyway the biggest mystery is who is lila in civillian form which is kind of hilarious and a genuinely good twist on villain tropes. It perfectly Mirrors Monarch. While with Monarch well Hawkmoth, we had no knowledge about his civillian identity at all, with Lila we know she's the villain but we don't know what she assumes as, I honestly think its quite clever. We still dont know who the civillian form is but at the same time we do. I love this choice because it keeps the mystery of the butterfly holder alive so yeah peak writing honestly and I wonder if we get the reveal in a similar way we got the gabriel agreste reveal in the collector aka s2 episode 1, similar in the sense we get her civillian identity revealed in season 7 episode 1. I think it would be pretty neat and a great echo of the original series. Anyway enough about Lila even thought I find her quite compelling. Now onto Marinette.

First of all, I love her and this episode made me so sad, like the poor girl is struggling so much, that scene where they showed her with all the diaries was so painful. It genuinely shows how much shes struggling, like how did she have like a whole stash of diaries behind a picture like brooo, the poor girl. Its also the fact that shes coping by writing, like gods, she wants to tell him. She wants to tell people but she's so scared of consequences that she can't, that genuinely hurts. This episode also proved that she's willing to tell him, that she intends to tell him but once again something comes in her way.

This episode set before Lady Chaos further explains her behaviour there, like she's not just scared that he'll get hurt but after getting akumatised, she has the new fear that she'll get akumatised so of course she doubles down on her lies. She is literally ladybug, she cannot afford to be weak. This secret is no longer just about hurting Adrien but her capacity to handle everything too. She does want to tell him but like in Revelator where her Alya got made at her which made her feel it was the wrong choice, like mister agreste where she was aggressively shut down by Nahtalie and saw a panicked Luka, once again when she tries to tell him, something else comes up. Honestly at this point, I wish she could just give up on being ladybug, she needs a break and I genuinely hope that it doesn't come down to her to tell Adrien. I hope Nathalie tells him but Nathalie won't, I hope Felix tells him but Felix won't. No one is going to say a single damn thing and thats just genuinely so sad.

People hate Marinette for the secret but I can't. I just feel worried and this episode gives more substance to why she was so chaotic in lady chaos. Its like she only gets more and more reasons. I am glad she's self aware now though so she does know that its about if she's ready, she doesnt see that she is, she doesnt think she can handle the consequences and honestly she needs to be able to handle it because she's ladybug. She unlike Alya or Adrien or Felix or Nathalie, isn't allowed to falter, be weak. She just isn't allowed to let her guard down because not only is she ladybug, she is also the guardian, she is also the leader. Everyone else can falter, can take time off, but can she? She tried giving up on being ladybug this episode but Alya's words were, no its okay you can be ladybug and that is honestly sweet but also its not what she needs. She needs someone to say, "Hey its okay if you mess up, you're not alone" or "You're allowed to be weak".

Genuinely this episode made me feel so bad for her. Basically, I still maintain that yes she needs consequences for her secret but I hope and pray that when it all comes to head that someone is there to help her, not just blame her or yell at her. I hope Nathalie supports her or Kagami, just literally anyone, I hope she can rebuild herself with help and that she's not just stranded but enough about her, lets talk about Adrien

It was heartbreaking, seeing his pain, like gods that was painful but I do like that initially he did give her a benefit of doubt but then she was weird about the secret and didn't help her case and was acting weird so of course he would doubt her, like I do not blame him at all and it was nice to see that yeah he can get angry, that yeah he can get sad. I mean he was literally crying, like poor kid. I really loved him in this episode and then there was the akumatisation, he was so sweet there too like gods, he was the one who saved her and I love that little detail so much. He's also very patient, like he's giving Marinette time. He's genuinely a great guy.

I also adored his dynamic with Sublime, like he looks so happy, my boy is finally going to be happy and thats heartwarming. Its also nice that Sublime is one of his token friends because it shows that when the secret comes out he won't be alone, he'll have Nino and Sublime. I also love the focus we got on Adrien's running hobby again and how Marinette isn't insecure at all and genuinely encouraging of them. Honestly when the truth comes out, I want to believe that he will have people he can trust. Not Felix, not Amelie, Not Nathalie but Sublime and Nino. Honestly how cool will it be if somehow Sublime learns that Adrien is cat noir? Like that would be an unexpected twist.

I cant forget therapy, Adrien also has therapy so when it all comes to head he won;t be alone and I'm relieved thats the case. He'll have people who know nothing about the hero world and can just be there for him. He needs that, he has that and I'm relieved. Adding on to the secret, we get confirmation that he'd rather be told the truth than not, everyone already knew that and its been hinted in Vampigami too but still I felt like I had to mention it. I also like that he called it off which means he will take space which is always a good thing. He'll be fine, I really want to believe that. Genuinely love this show so much. Now lets talk briefly about Adrinette though I don't know how much I can say about it.

I honestly find it kind of funny that they're described as the perfect couple and proof of love, like I know it looks like that in show but as a watched who knows whats going on behind scenes, its probably the unhealthiest relationship out of all the others in the show. Don't get me wrong, I love them, I still ship them but I can recognise that its not healthy because Marinette should not be keeping secrets from them but I suppose only show viewers will be privy to the cracks which is fine and makes sense. Additionally if you look at it structurally it actually can represent those hollywood couples in real life.

People think they're perfect but in reality they might be the most twisted and toxic so I genuinely thought that was very interesting and shows how even now, Adrien's model fame isn't forgotten because I'm pretty sure the reason they are called ther perfect couple is simply because Adrien is a famous model. Additionally amongst their friends who played a big part among getting them together theres a polished view. Adrinette in a way was a group effort so it makes sense they're popular. That combined with the adrien model fame makes them a couple you can idealise.

Also I guess its the fact that Marinette herself is pretty popular, considering that she made the covers for jagged stone and is quite the helpful girl so yeah it makes sense that they're considered perfect but its also kind of ironic because they aren't, not really. Couple like djwifi and julerose and marcaniel are way more popular but enough of that, I just found it interesting to note. I could talk about their dynamic in this episode but I feel likt I already touched upon it in the marinette and Adrien sections so I don't want to rehash it but basically they definitely give the sense of foreboding al the time so its genuinely hard to enjoy the cute moments sometimes because I know its all going to blow up. I guess next I'll just do a general piece about ladybug and other interactions and then close it.

We didn't see cat noir in this so theres nothing I can say about him but there is a bit more we can say on the ladybug role. I know I talked about it in the Marinette section but I just wanted to expand on it because Marinette willing to give up the ladybug earrings is genuinely a big moment. I know it happened in season 4 or 5 but back then it was moreso Tikki making the choice for her and Marinette letting it happen, this time though its Marinette trying to give up which in my eyes is huge and shows the pressure and it makes me sad that she doesn't because she genuinely needs it, she needs to be able to give up. Other than that, it was genuinely nice seeing that even Djwifi is not immune to clearly orchestrated attempts at break up so that was nice to see. Marinette's design was also pretty cool, sad but cool. The chaos trio didn't look great though. I dont think I have more to say XD except that I genuinely loved this episode and I hope Season 6 and even 7 keeps up with this quality. Miraculous truly has grown with its viewers and I'm relieved and happy about that.
