Do you ever think part of the reason Georgie stayed by Jon’s bedside through all 6 months of his coma but then abruptly walked out of his life when he woke up is because she was fully expecting to be a caregiver for him during a long, grueling post-coma recovery process?

Do you think part of the reason she was so spooked by him waking up (relatively) unscathed is because she had mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared herself to take him in? That her best case scenario — what she had planned and hoped for — was that he’d wake up with severe cognitive and/or physical deficits, as one would expect from someone who survived an explosion and six months in a coma? That he’d have to re-learn how to walk or talk or eat or hold a spoon on his own? That he would *need* someone, and even if it wasn’t what she wanted for herself or him, she had decided she would step up and be that person for him?

It can be so jarring when you build up a vision of your near future around one assumption, only for that assumption to be completely shattered by reality. Do you think she constructed a future for him in her head, and when he woke up “fine”, she was so startled by the breaking of her expectations that it felt almost like a betrayal? And the sheer uncanny impossibility of him waking up “fine” made her think that her friend was dead after all?

Do you think that after Martin stopped coming around and Georgie found herself alone at Jon’s bedside, she realized she was all he had left in the world? The only one who held onto hope that he would survive in some form? The only one who thought he could wake up, severely disabled by his experiences but free at last? The only one who thought he deserved the chance at a mundane life after all of this, even if that life would look radically different? Do you think she grappled with the reality that if she didn’t step up for him, no one would? Do you think she spent long hours coping with the fact that she was going to have to take on new responsibilities and make new sacrifices for him, but she was willing to do it for an old friend who deserved better than the hand he was dealt? Do you think she mourned her old vision of her future, before she reconstructed that vision around caring for him?

Do you think she started talking to Jon’s doctors about what she could expect if she brought him home after he woke up? What kinds of disabilities he would live with, and what the prognosis was? About his quality of life afterwards? His road to recovery? Do you think she made up her spare bedroom with a severely disabled person in mind, and then started looking into hiring a part time caregiver to come help her make sure Jon got the help (she assumed) he’d need? Do you think she did all kinds of research into brain injuries and their aftermath? Physical therapy for people with severe atrophy? NG tubes for re-feeding severely starved people? Occupational therapists?

Do you think part of the reason she was so upset when he woke up (relatively) unscathed, lucid and talking and breathing on his own, maybe a little physically weak but still much like his old self, is because she had realistic expectations of what his life would look like after his injuries? And seeing him suddenly defy all odds by waking up into a full cognitive and physical recovery — a completely unrealistic hope that she never even considered as part of the realm of possibility — only reinforced the idea that the old Jon was dead, and this new Jon wasn’t safe for her to be around?

The crowd roared in confused enthusiasm as Tenna gave a gracious flurry of low-FPS bows, pausing only for the occasional stink-nose at his audience plants who weren’t throwing enough 3D roses.

Eventually, the room fell silent. It was Senshi’s turn to speak.

He puffed out his chest, took a long, sweeping look over the audience… and shook his head.

“I can see not all of you are eating properly.”

The crowd murmured with embarrassment.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s time to take the turkey out of your icebox. I have seen the ingenious technology with which your people store food... and I have also seen the waste which results from such convenience.

“The food you take had a life. Beasts grew fat on the grass of the field, plants grew from the sun’s rays, and mushrooms grew from minerals in the cracks of caves. And yet, it sits in your iceboxes, collecting moisture until it perishes.

“Eat what is given to you. Because its life will make you stronger, too.”

Without another word, Senshi left his podium and stepped away from the stage. The crowd murmured in confusion. “Is he really like that?” somebody said. “I only remember reblogging the photosets of him tripping and showing ass.”

Back in the Green Room, Tenna wrung his antennas nervously.

“Y-y-you think they liked me!? They HAD to!! I mean, I don’t know what Asgore was thinking, getting that weird haircut and running that food waste campaign, but… YOU thought I did good, didn’t you, Kris?”

Laios nodded aggressively, a streak of blue face paint peeling from his forehead.

“You did AMAZING, Tenna! By the way, now that we’ve seen all your insider campaign secrets, do you have any more videos of Susie? Especially her tail... If I could get a look at that, I could finally tell if she’s a dinosaur or --”

THWACK. Fake antlers butted Laios’s head.

“LAIOS?? Weren’t we dressed up to help SENSHI???” Marcille hissed, gesturing awkwardly with her hooves.

Suddenly, Tenna turned to the two adventurers.

“Hey, WAIT a second. SOMETHING’s not right here...”

Laios and Marcille held their breath.

“Where the heck are my POINTS!?”

Just then, the door opened. Chilchuck took one step into the room, whistling and holding a large bag.

Everyone turned to him.

Chilchuck paused, took a step backwards, and closed the door.

“CHILCHUCK!!!” yelled Tenna.

“How come Chilchuck got to stay Chilchuck!?” yelled Marcille at the same time.

In MAG 56, Martin says he's 29. This aired March 16, 2017. So back tracking, Martin's birthday is either late 1987 or early 1988.

Jon's birthday recording in MAG 161 happened around the start of the show (Jon says it's been "a rough start" with the team) so that puts the birthday party probably after March 24, 2016 (the airdate of MAG 1).

Jon was a child of the 90s (MAG 81), but he claimed he was turning 38 in the birthday party. If that were true, Jon would have been born around 1978, which is a lie.

So Jon lied about his age and upped it a whole decade (a quick and easy knee-jerk response to cover the fact he feels so inexperienced and out of his depth). So he's turning 28 at the bday party around the start of season 1. So his birth year has to be very similar to Martin's.

However, we know that Jon was there for Martin's birthday near the start of his tenure (as he said during the birthday party flashback in MAG 161).

Therefore, Jon's birthday has to be later in the year than Martin's. What I think we know for sure is that Martin's birthday has to occur after March 2016, and Jon's has to occur sometime after.

I came up with my headcanons for their birthdays long before I got to the birthday party flashback episode, but I think they still track! I heacanon Martin's birthday to be on June 25, 1987, a Cancer and pride month baby. And Jon's is on Oct 23, 1987, a Scorpio and spooky baby. Reasoning for my zodiac choices:

Realizing the entire time Martin adored him and thinking he was way too late. That Martin would never love or care for him again. That he’d never get Martin’s tea, or hear Martin laugh, or bicker and argue with him, that he’d never see Martin smile ever again.

  Summary:

When Martin Blackwood was exiled from Greymoor with the condition that he only be allowed to return if it be with the head of the dreaded Watching Beast, he was under no illusion that his Lord had sent him out there to die.

But having uncovered the knowledge that the Lord of Greymoor had been sacrificing his subjects to the Mysts, (and being the only one of them with nothing left to lose,) his resolve to return to his homeland and expose the wicked nature of Lukas’s rule is the only thing on his mind when he braves the dangers of the Deep Woods to find and slay the beast of legend.

But as Martin soon shall find, there is far more to his quarry and the circumstances of his quest than first meets the eye. The monsters and magics of the woods are growing restless, and a plot centuries in the making finally is at last reaching its conclusion.

Imma be honest. I did not predict this finale, like, at all. So...let's see how this goes!
