Felix: I suppose you were destined to die for him, too. Just like Glenn.

Ashe: …

Felix: Will I share the same fate?

Ashe: You won’t unless you decide to.

Felix: Oh. I didn’t see you there.

Ashe: Do you mind if I join you?

Felix: If you wish.

Ashe: …

Felix: Go on. Spit it out.

Ashe: I’m not going to tell you that he died something noble, or that his death is something good. He didn’t, and it isn’t. But he died for what he believed in; I doubt he had many lingering regrets.

Felix: It doesn’t matter if he did or if he didn’t. He’s dead. Any thoughts he had not voiced are left between him and the Goddess.

Ashe: You’re right. But I think… I think dying the way he did was kinder to him.

Felix: What do you mean?

Ashe: He died a meaningful death, in one way or another. I don’t think he would have been happy, dying of illness or old age. It’s slower, anyway; more painful.

Felix: …You’re right. Fraldarius is a military house; we’re born and raised to fight. Dying on the battlefield… it’s what we were made for.

Ashe: It doesn’t make the aftermath any easier.

Felix: No. It doesn’t.

Ashe: …

Felix: Knighthood isn’t pretty, you know. It’s not all that the storybooks make it out to be.

Ashe: I know. But I’m still here, aren’t I? I’m still the half-knight I promised I’d be.

Felix: You’re more than just a half-knight. You’re more of a knight than anyone else could ever hope to be. You’re strong, brave, and caring despite it all. You’re… my knight.

Felix stands and leaves, and Ashe is left blushing.
