louis  &  found  was  the  perfect  place  to  find  decent  clothes  at  a  cheaper  price,  so  it  wasn't  a  surprise  to  find  enzo  there,  going  through  every  aisle  at  the  men's  section.  he  picked  out  a  few  items,  tried  them  on,  before  adding  them  to  his  to-buy  list.  after  hearing  camila's  comment,  he  gave  a  confused  look.  “wha–”  he  muttered  to  himself  before  taking  a  look  at  the  sweater.  “oh  shit.  i  didn't  even  see  that.”  he  quickly  hung  the  item  into  a  random  spot,  shaking  his  head  after.  “thanks  for  telling  me.”

"Eh. Not the worst I've been called. I'm the youngest of two other siblings." He grinned as he texted her so she had his number before slipping it back into his pocket. "Where were you headed before we ran into each other?"

“do  you  get  along  with  them?”  she  asked  curiously.  being  an  only  child  most  of  her  life,  she  always  wondered  what  it  was  like  to  have  siblings,  and  usually  pictured  them  being  there  for  one  another.  “the  library.  i  wanted  to  see  if  they  had  any  new  books.  along  with  a  few  i  have  on  my  list.”  her  head  gestured  toward  a  direction  before  looking  back  at  him.  “what  about  you?”

“okay,  good.”  because  she  didn't  think  she  needed  one  and  frankly,  she  thought  about  going  back  to  her  usual  style  if  a  makeover  was  needed.  the  sound  of  buying  new  clothes  caught  her  attention  though.  having  a  love  for  shopping,  she  wasn't  going  to  turn  that  down.  “i  guess  it  wouldn't  hurt  to  see  what's  in  stores  now.  do  you  prefer  shopping  in  person  or  online?”  being  busy  with  her  channel,  she  mostly  bought  her  clothes  online  but  going  out  for  once  seemed  like  a  good  idea.  well,  jackie  didn't  think  about  things  that  way.  giving  it  more  thought,  she  didn't  see  any  harm  in  making  someone  a  little  jealous  but  wanted  something  real  too.  “do  you  think  we  can  do  a  mix  of  both?  as  for  my  type…  someone  kind,  smart,  and  funny.  it  wouldn't  hurt  if  they  were  good-looking  too.”

🪐 it'd probably be easier for the both of them if they stopped whatever this was. her aversion to him as a person, and his aversion to her abrasiveness, wasn't a great combination. but at the end of the day the reason the two interacted didn't have much to do with connecting on a human level...

truthfully,  she  was  glad  he  didn't  make  a  big  fuss  about  the  apology.  it  made  her  feel  relieved,  and  less  vulnerable.  in  her  point  of  view,  she  could  have  invited  anyone  over  and  they  would  be  ecstatic  to  be  with  her,  yet  out  of  everyone  in  cider  point,  she  just  wanted  his  company.  there  was  something  about  him  that  made  her  feel  safe.

she  gives  a  look,  attempting  to  reassure  him  it  was  fine  and  that  her  car  should  feel  like  a  safe  space  no  matter  what.  there  was  a  sincere  smile  after  hearing  his  response  and  a  wave  of  relief  washed  over  her.  layla  was  comfortable  sharing  some  of  her  work  with  others,  mainly  the  pg  versions,  but  she  definitely  cared  more  about  opinions  from  those  closer  to  her.  “yeaaah.  if  that  were  the  case,  i  don't  think  i'll  be  showing  you  those  anytime  soon.  unless  it's  hilarious  or  something  completely  out  there.”  sitting  up  straight,  the  brunette  placed  her  notebook  and  pen  to  the  side  elsewhere  to  focus  more  on  the  conversation.

" um . . . " okay, so maybe she hasn't done her research and is mostly here to avoid any future fomo, but that doesn't mean she can't be supportive of whoever's set she happens to wander over to. " i have no idea who either of those people are, and i can't grasp the vibe from just a name, you know ? " which is making the entire night more stressful than it should be. " but i don't think anyone is giving 2000's girly pop, and that's honestly a little disappointing. " if only she could carry a tune. noelle sighs. " you seem like you have good taste. who are you most looking forward to ? " perhaps the more people she asks, the better her chance of seeing the better acts.

she  couldn't  help  smiling  at  noelle's  response,  finding  it  endearing  than  anything.  “yeah…  maybe  they  should  have  written  what  they  were  going  to  sing  or  included  what  genres  they'll  be  performing  to  make  things  easier,  but  at  least  that's  what  will  make  things  interesting,  right?”  she  waved  a  hand  at  the  compliment,  but  continued  to  smile  as  it  did  make  her  happy  deep  down.  “well  thank  you.”  out  of  all  the  names,  there  were  only  a  select  few  she  was  interested  in  seeing.  "i  definitely  want  to  see  jennie  saeli,  but  i  might  try  and  go  to  ruby  for  a  few  minutes  first  and  see  what  she's  like.  other  than  that,  i  wanted  to  see  sloane  earlier." 

Jason smiled at that. "Oh yeah? That would be awesome. Let's exchange numbers and you can text me whenever you are free to ride." He pulled out his phone and handed it out toward her. "I'm Jason by the way. I'm realizing I didn't say it at first." Jason inwardly groaned at forgetting to say his name at the beginning.

layla  wasn't  one  to  turn  down  meeting  new  people.  even  if  they  did  just  meet,  she  was  comfortable  exchanging  numbers  right  away.  after  taking  his  phone  and  adding  her  contact  as  layla,  she  handed  the  electronic  device  back.  “good  thing  you  told  me  your  name,  otherwise  you  were  just  going  to  be  skater  boy  on  my  phone.  it's  nice  to  meet  you  though.  i'm  layla."
