Book 7, System Collapse:

Murderbot circa the end of ASR: okay they aren’t mine but I am at least a little invested in the continued wellbeing of this circus and these specific monkeys

Astarion:

Look to be more serious if I may - Baulder's Gate 3 came along at just the right time to help me get me through some real tough shit, namely, dealing with the physical and emotional fallout of Cancer Part 1 - It Sucked but at Least it's Over and Cancer Part 2 - This Shit Again. Both as catharsis with Karlach and distraction of just... it's a good game and I love the characters. It also reignited a creative spark in me that had been diminished through suffering a lot of frustration and difficulty over the years, and it's been a JOY to freely create without feeling beholden to anyone (just like I used to when I was younger - and not just BG3 stuff, I've felt much more like working on my own things too.)
