garry: uh, sure! its pretty minimal all you have to do is put some eyeshadow! i already did my eyeliner.

mary: okay!! *dabs her finger with eyeshadow to rub it on his eyelid* WAIT.

garry: AGH mary!! dont grab my face like that, it hurts!

mary: YOU HAVE BLUE EYES????

garry: ... you didnt know?

ib, from the doorway: garry has blue eyes???

garry: YOU TOO??

garry: mary, please, slow down on the cookies! you're going to get a stomach ache!

mary: NO IM NOT!! they cant hurt my stomach if it likes them!

ib: mary, that's not how stomachs work...

mary: what do you mean? that's exactly how stomachs work!

garry: ...

garry: mary... don't say i didn't warn you.

it was them in the car together (bc the story takes place at least 400 years in the future so if they dont have cars im gonna be shocked). i predict the car to be somewhat old timey because clearly there had been a recession at some point because the overall aesthetic seems more reminiscent of the 50s and 60s style, especially in ib's outfit.

garry, taking ib to a bakery he loves: look, these macarons are my favorite pastry! which flavors do you want?

ib: mm.. lemon.

garry: lemon? did you like that lemon candy i gave you?

ib: yes i do! lemon is delicious.
