☆ Intro post ☆
I've never written an into post I'm trying to do this well... My name is Robyn, I'm 18, I'm aroace and a trans man, my pronouns are He/Him/His, I've never done tumblr or any social media (unless pinterst counts) before so I'm trying my best, I just wanted an account to be able to reblog stuff and talk about my special interest This is a just for fun blog for me, serious topics may come up in relation to characters but I want to leave most real world stuff out of it, with more of that as well as more stuff about me (+ Credits for my dividers!) under this cut so the post isn't crazy long <3

Disclaimer: I am very well aware that a lot of creators involved in things I like have done problematic things, I think avoiding everything that's problematic is impossible but I do try to, when I talk about things on here it's nearly always the characters and rarely the people (and I'll always tag to separate the two) I don't think that just because a creator did a bad thing there's no feasible way to enjoy content they were involved in anymore, I think you can when you're doing it conciously With that said, here's a list of stuff I won't be talking about on this blog - The Wilbur Soot Situation - Most other mcyt controversies - In depth religious topics without proper warnings - Current events situations (keep reading) - Racism/Homophobia/Transphobia/Antisemitism/Zionism (I will just be blocking)

I had both wss and sss dni in these tags, but I think that’s an oversimplification of it. More or less I think both have been very toxic in the past, I think trying to find evidence on either side was odd at best and dangerous at worse, both Wilbur and Shelby have said what they’ll say, this was three years ago now.
At the end of the day, we do not know exactly what happened, we will most likely never know what happened, because it’s their business. It’s not our place to find blame for things we have no context behind.
I don’t think it’s as black and white as either is a “bad person” and I think you can do a really shitty thing, and move on from it. Which Wilbur has very clearly tried to, and has gotten help for his mental health.
People can’t be expected to live in the bad thing they did forever, getting help is the only way to move forward (not constantly talking about it or apologizing the way people seemed expectant of Wilbur) and it’s what he’s been doing, I don’t think you can except much more out of anyone
And I don’t believe that it makes someone a bad person to still enjoy his content or to still listen to lovejoy (especially because he’s not the only one in the band) Real world stuff - I'm putting it all here because I will not regularly be talking about it: Fuck ICE and everything else Donald Trump does, There is no place for transphobia or homophobia but it is very much still real and pretending it isn't is harmful, Disabled people are people too and we deserve the same rights as everyone else including the right to just exist in peace without justifying our existance, People of color need to be listened to more often when they're pointing out racism (especially systemic) that not everyone is seeing and they deserve to have platforms to do so, Palestine should be free My boundaries -
.★˚ - For the time being annons will be off, I feel like most hate asks come in the form of annons and I just don't want to deal with it, maybe I'll change my name later on .★˚ - Use my pronouns, I don't use they/them, it's fine that mistakes happen but if it's repeated over and over, I may just block you .★˚ - I have dyslexia, so spelling mistakes happen, please don't be needlessly cruel about it or harp on it (ie. someone making a mistake and getting told they're the reason for the literary crisis, which happens all the time.) .★˚ - For the most part I will not talk about my personal life, I don't like tons of questions being asked about it either, questions about stuff I like/What I like is fine, personal ones not so much .★˚ - I don't like the word Cringe at all, I don't like other people being called cringe, I don't like being called cringe, I don't really care if my interests fall under "2020 cringe" stuff, most of them have been my special interests for 6 almost 7 years. .★˚ - Don't yell at me about “problematic people,” unless something new happens and you genuinely think I don't understand, please just leave me be Q&A - Q: If your name is Robyn and you’re trans why didn't you change your name or the spelling to be more masculine A - I like my name, it's been my name since my parents gave it to me, I really didn't feel like changing the spelling, so my name is going to stay as Robyn even if that's a more "feminine" spelling Q: Why don't you want to talk about why people are considered problematic/past controversies A - This account is for me to have fun and talk about my special interests, not to go over old situations, I already know about most of them, I don't have an interest in talking about them or rehashing them with other people, but I do also just believe that while yes people should be held accountable, people can learn, grow, and become better people Q: How do you consume the content A - For fanfics I read on Ao3, if I decide to post writings it would be on this blog, For videos I only use youtube and I don't do short form content as it's really bad for my attention span as someone with adhd+autism, I very ocassionally watch streams on twitch, usually when I do it's only Philza, and it's when I have tons of spare time Q: How long have you been watching mcyt's A - I've been watching hermitcraft since about 2021, and I've watched back all the way to season 4, from there I immidetly started watching the Life series stuff, I started watching Dsmp stuff in I think December 2020, from there I watched Earth smp and a little bit of Minecraft Monday's stuff, I started watching qsmp from the first stream (I watched Phil's, then Quackity's, then Jaiden's, then Charlie's within a week)
Q: What langauges do you know (qsmp related) A - Just english, usually I rely on translations to watch people like Cellbit, Roier, and Pac who are three of my favorites Q: What are you still watching A - I still rewatch old Dsmp stuff, I'm still watching Hermitcraft but I'm behind this season I've been watching Grian, Etho, Joel, and Xisuma lately, I haven't gotten to watching Qsmp season two yet but I plan to at least check it out Q: What does your username mean A - Starlings are my favorite birds (ironic, ik) and I get started quite easily all the time, so, startled-starlings
