They were pretty sure that the spirit of Tommy was speaking through them because normally they would never dare to say something so stupid to a member of the Syndicate. But those words were certainly out there, and there was no taking them back. So Ranboo just had to live with the fact that they’d actually said that.

“What,” Phobos said, which was a pretty good question. Ranboo didn’t really know what either if he was being honest.

Or: Ranboo is a hero who's gotten cornered by a villain. And he should probably be more worried about this whole thing, but the concussion is making that a little difficult.

summary:

Of all the people in the world who should be the next Spiderman, Ranboo does *not* think it should be him.

A chronically ill, partially blind and generally feeble foster kid, passed around the system like the world's worst pass the parcel (the prize between layers is a new diagnosis) , he's the last person who should be swinging around New York, delivering justice to the masses. Literally anyone would be better!

But the universe has decided otherwise, and he finds himself under the tutelage of the first Spiderman, who appeared on the streets more than fifteen years ago, and who turns out to be a grumpy, awkward English major with bright pink hair, a husband who he swears isn't for tax benefits (they're a QPR, okay? that counts as a legitimate reason), and an inability to let this scrawny ass kid work all this out by himself.

Add some bench trio hijinks, Techno batting away a handful of meddling Avengers, and an alarming number of guns being gifted to NYs newest vigilante, what could go wrong?

.★˚ - He tends to just make noise quite a lot, in my mind it’s a sort of stimming, little whistles, clicks, chirps, the “bap™️” sound

.★˚ - Phil can cook, but it’s to survive. Mainly inspired by the avocado toast. He can cook enough to keep himself and anyone around him fed, but he is not cooking for taste, we’re a step above boiled chicken but not much higher

.★˚ - He gets absorbed into tasks a lot, usually for longer than intended, organizing things, mining, building, even just reading, he gets invested and doesn’t realize how long it’s been

.★˚ - He has a few piercings, mostly in his upper ears but one or two on the lower, Techno likes the way the gold looks with his already nearly gold hair (plus I love the emerald earring headcannon)

.★˚ - He doesn’t exactly sleep in a nest but it’s close, there’s pillows tucked around the sides and extra blankets just for padding, random books he was reading before his eyelids got too heavy are tucked between them, a sweater or two left there, the bed only gets made when the sheets need changed

.★˚ - His chests though? Always organized. He’s got a system, if something is out of place he knows, although as soon as something is moved it’s lost till he tears 1/4 of the cabin apart to find it again
