hiyori kizuna was not simply attacked by a wolf supernatural. the kizuna clan elders used as bait to lure out the beast. however, rather than her soul being fully consumed by the supernatural, hiyori's mother, chitose, came and saved the day.. at the cost of her life.

“but do i deserve saving?”

hiyori kizuna lost part of her soul at six years old because of a giant wolf supernatural. this means that she is actively running out of time, as her soul can't fully mature into adulthood. this also means her capacity to feel emotions is affected, along with her body temperature.

hiyori kizuna is very rowdy and teasing, although very friendly.

the kizuna clan is an exorcist clan that weaponizes a genetic trait of theirs, the ability to "suck in" a supernatural's spiritual energy and use it. hiyori often uses the mokke’s energy in exchange for candy, so the energy she ends up using has a pink tint to it.

the au included the fact that luka had already reached the isles of the blest or smth, but he kept competing in hopes of regaining life to go back to hyuna. hyuna, on the other hand, was trying to get back to the underworld to take souls from the stage. ivan, however, is not a contestant. this is because he is alive, as he ran away from the equivalent of anakt garden. him and till almost escaped but ivan looked back last second (orpheus reference??!!!). so till is trying to get back to ivan by winning all the matches. he almost made it but luka won. he was granted life in exchange for hyuna’s. idk im just yapping
