"So, you're one of Miss Vados' kind, right?" Ethel said, hoping to strike up polite conversation. { Ethel - starmakerdreamtaker }

The angel’s attention was piqued upon hearing the voice of another. As he glanced over his shoulder, he saw a strange entity, not of his own universe. It wasn’t very often that someone approached him for small talk.

“Yes, I am. Vados is my sister, actually.”

Ethel clutched her drink like a lifeline; this “diplomatic” dinner party, in her eyes, seemed more to show up the gods of other realms than ease tensions from this “Tournament of Power” he spoke of. Of course, he had to use her station for that - after all, she “owed him a few” for reviving her planet and not killing her for the risk she posed to her homeworld as a relic of the old war.

So, as the de-facto hostess, she had an obligation to make friendly talk and keep tabs on the guests. Trying to socialize with literal gods wasn’t much different from trying to do so with aristocrats, except these people mostly just ignored her. Her eyes brightened when the strange man actually talked back, both in pleasant surprise and in curiosity.

“Ah, I can see the resemblance.” The only things he and Vados shared were the body coloration, height, and maybe the eyes, but close enough. “My name’s Ethel, and yours?”

A little setting thing I forgot to include in Ethel’s profile: She more or less lives alone on U6 Earth’s moon. She doesn’t have people to help her cook and clean, or really socialize with besides the occasional alien or divine mooch passing by. She gets shipments of supplies from Earth sent with drones, and has enough money to last herself the rest of her natural life and then some, but she’s very much alone.

She may or may not be barred from moving back to her Earth, due to her involvement in the planet-destroying war making her liable to ruining Champa’s vacation spot.

Her stations a real looker of a place, though. I’ll draw it later, but the outside looks a bit like the Sydney Opera House, and the inside looks like a really upscale hotel. At least, it would if there was more than one person taking care of it; it looks almost abandoned in some sections. Several wings have been sealed off for reasons Ethel doesn’t like digging into.
