This has almost certainly been done before but a gift for everyone
Small reminder that DID is often a covert disorder and overt DID is actually pretty rare. A person could go their whole life without knowing they have DID because that's the point. You do not need to know who you are all the time or who's fronting or need to feel like you're a faker because you act the same pretty much all the time. You do not need to act drastically different between your headmates to be valid.
I think a beautiful thing about being a system is that when I don’t think I’m pretty and I hate the way my body is I remember my headmate thinks we’re pretty enough to be a goddess.
He feels no connection to the body and oddly enough no dysphoria when fronting. He experiences a very strong disconnect to the point he can’t see the body as his and views fronting like piloting a mech.
He’s a medical protector and his job is to keep our body safe and healthy, which he’s only able to do because of this disconnect.
But every time he passes a mirror he stops and very carefully and thoughtfully contemplates.

every system who knows Homestuck has karkat and sometimes dave (sometimes its Dirk instead). I think karkat is objectively the most interesting lamest troll in the series (im so sorry) and hes in my fucking head too. hes confirming himself he is lame. thats fucking neato man. Dirk says hi 👍👍👍

DID and OSDD1 are not system disorders. DID and OSDD1 are not alter disorders.
DID and OSDD are DISSOCIATIVE disorders. The existence of a system/alters is a SYMPTOM of the disorders. They are caused by DISSOCIATION. OSDD1 is not the only valid type of OSDD, and other types don't have alters as a symptom-- they are still dissociative disorders.
DID and OSDD1 are not system disorders. They are not plural disorders. They are Dissociative disorders, always, first and foremost. Alters are a symptom, they are not the root.
