I had photo day at school today so I have some fun pictures on their way!

i showed my department head one of my weavings over the summer and mentioned I’d gotten a loom and she was like “oh so is weaving your Thing now?” and i tried to explain that no, the loom just kinda fell into my lap and I had been trying not to get invested before because I didn’t know when I’d be able to weave again after graduation and she kinda gave me a Look. now its almost a year later and I’m compiling my graduation portfolio and its 50% weaving and i have to concede that yes, weaving may in fact be a pretty prominent Thing for me

this weekend my goal is to finish my artist statement and portfolio packet for school and get my website updated. I have a couple more photos to edit and then I can post the finished quilt. Critique for weaving class is Monday and we’re having it in one of the critique studios instead of the hallway so we’ll be able to get nicer photos than normal. Then I have a photoshoot for some of my other work thats harder to photograph next weekend. all of that is to say I should have a fully updated website and a backlog of work I’ll be slowly posting here and hopefully soon on instagram as well.

i scratched myself with a shitty little amazon shuttle i got for tablet weaving purposes and i think its infected lmao? thats what i get i guess
