Mason was working in one of the sound studios when the blackout hit, cutting all of his progress short in one fell swoop. Mason rarely got mad - rarely ever rose his voice or swore, but the string of expletives that came out of him as the realization set in was lengthy. One of his project partners urged him that they had to head to the gymnasium, Mason's head hanging low.

Rachel was finally feeling better when she spotted what appeared to be a rather upset Mason. The two didn’t know one another all that well., but there were in the New Directions together. I'm certainly not a fan of the tactics, but it is nice meeting some new people. But wow, I didn't even realize that was the one who practically ran away and then reappeared. He seems nice though. How are you handling being stuck in such close proximity to him? Have you even seen him since we've been held hostage?

Despite what transpired between us, I still believe he is one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. That just makes the situation all the more difficult the bear. I know that sounds ridiculously dramatic, but it’s true. We spoke at length the other day and a little while imprisoned. It’s just hard being around him when there are so many unresolved feelings. I still love him.

She'd seen Rachel coming in hot though it didn't seem like the Rachel Quinn knew. Instead she seemed unsteady or maybe even sick. It only took a moment to recognize that Rachel might have been a little drunk or at least hung over. Not wanting her friend to struggle more than she should Quinn made a quick stop at the first aid table to grab some advil and a water before making her way over to Berry. Kneeling in front of her she kept her voice quiet as to not make the situation worse. "I've got Advil and some water. No sign of a sledgehammer just yet but I'll keep my eyes open for one. Is there anything else I can get to help you out Rachel?" Reaching out she gave a gentle pat to the other girls shoulder as she held out her other hand that had the water and Advil.

Rachel graciously accepted the medication and water then chuckled softly at Quinn’s remarks. “Thank you for everything, including keep an eye out for that sledgehammer. This throbbing headache is incredibly painful. Not to mention the queasiness. I am not usually one to experience such a reaction to tequila, but perhaps 6 shots should be my limit going forward. That 7th was a doozy,” she added before taking a sip from the plastic bottle. “I see you’ve taken charge of this odd situation. Once the Advil take effect I will be happy to assist. It is the least I can do to repay you for your generosity.”

"Rachel, how are you even still alive?" Cody questioned, his head turning to look at Rachel and her drunken demeanour. "Fuck, I thought I could drink. For a small girl, you sure know how to put it back." He dry heaved slightly at the thought of tequila, his memory flash-backing briefly to the numerous rounds they had carried out throughout the course of the night.

Rachel groaned softly, but took the water nonetheless. The two of them were quite the pair. While Cody hadn’t given her a reason for his binge drinking, she figured it had something to do with that gossip column post. Then again, he could have just been a party boy, but something led her to believe otherwise. Regardless of the reason, she appreciated both his company that night and in that very moment.

Stacey had seen Rachel the minute she walked in, and much to her surprise hadn't been able to stop her feet from moving. Rach looked panicked and there was something in her that hated it. Carefully, Stacey unwrapped her frog blanket from her shoulders, cradling it to her chest as she watched the other woman sink to the floor. "I don't have that, no.... But I have a blanket if you want to put it over your head for a bit?"

Rachel smiled weakly as she took the blanket from Stacey, “Thank you,” she mumbled while folding the cloth and leaning back against the wall. “I really appreciate your concern,” she added emphatically. while placing the material over her eyes, enjoying the darkness as it surrounded her. With her face covered, Rachel asked, “How are you doing? Engaging new people as instructed?” She paused suddenly struck with an odd notion. “Honestly, if I were a conspiracy theorist, I would be having a field day with this scenario. An unexpected black out, forced relocation and interaction. Sounds like someone engineered this.”

There's been a lot of movements and talk and the kinda of energy you expect outta a room where people were forced to congregate to whenever any kind of unknown emergency situation arises. Sam gets why there are those who aren't handling this too well. It can be scary if you're not used to it. He senses more annoyance from others and can tell in various clusters there's that one who tries to make the best of it. That's him. He's always been a glass half full kind of guy and is in the middle of a random story about an encounter he had with a squirrel last semester. Sam spied Rachel and...she looked green. Sam quickly wrapped his story and jogged over to his friend, his backpack's contents shook around inside. He caught the tail-end of her question and chuckled. He knew of the pub crawl plan and how much Cody's away to put away. Hell, he knew Rachel can knock back quite a few after their bowling and Jack night awhile back . "Here." he said and handed over a bottle. "No on the sledgehammer but I got pain meds and my hoodie if you need something to put over your eyes." He offered and sat down in front of her.

Rachel groaned and gratefully took the bottle of water from her friend. “My hero. Thank you on all accounts,” she croaked while as she closed her eyes and rested the back of her head against the wall. Why had she ingested so much alcohol? She pried one eye open to still one of the reasons sitting in front of her. Not that she could tell him that of course. He was happy with her friend and truth be told that’s all she wanted for him. Happiness. Even if it wasn’t with her. “I would love both the hoodie and pain medicine if possible. I haven’t felt this awful in well, ever. Perhaps my tolerance isn’t as high as I once believed. Maybe I’m just getting old,” she added, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips,”How are you? Are you managing alright? Tonight has been anything but ordinary.”

Josephine had slowly gone from paranoid high to just normal high (with a bit of spice thanks to Puck's stash). The choas of the evening hadn't lighten up a all. Hell, it was probably only going to get worse as everybody was getting more impatient with being crammed in here with no answers. Blue eyes narrow to the other girl, running a hand through her messy locks as she realized maybe someone else here was more of a hot mess right now.

Peering up, Rachel eyed the other woman curiously. She’d seen the girl around campus, but they’d never engaged one another. She seemed a little off, but that honestly could have been more on Rachel than anything else. With her guard and inhibitions still down, Rachel offered the woman a small shrug and pried open the bag.
