UNSENT DRUNK TEXTS 📱 TO SAM
date: 14th February, 2024. (after this interaction)
FRANNIE: [unsent] Realistically, when my heart is beating like this, I know that my brain has sent a signal to my adrenal glands (which are two little hormone-producing organs that sit on top of your kidneys!). My biology loving soul KNOWS that it produces a small boost of our favorite hormone, adrenaline. And I KNOW it moves via your bloodstream directly to your heart, where its action is to temporarily make your heart beat faster. FRANNIE: [unsent] All of this, I know. It's biology 101, the easiest and the first thing you learn, pretty much. FRANNIE: [unsent] And yet, ever since we...you know, shared that moment, I can't help or control the way my body is reacting to you every single time we just so happen to share the same space as one another. FRANNIE: [unsent] It's like biology is mocking me right now, or making fun of the fact that I, too, am a total weakling to the butterflies, the heart beating quicker than usual...heck, even the inability to think straight around you. FRANNIE: [unsent] My lips are swollen. So much so that they're tingling, a little, and I absolutely had to use double the amount of lip gloss this morning to cover it up. FRANNIE: [unsent] My professor told me today after class that I looked happy. I want to say I wasn't sure how or why or what gave that impression, but I'd be a liar. I can't stop just...smiling. Small smiles, at the littlest of things. I know it's because of you and the...burst of life that you've lit through me. FRANNIE: [sent] Hey, Sammy! How was class today? Would you like me to grab you a smoothie on the way home?
