Stardew Valley Is Life

Here’s just some random headcanons I have about Sam. Maybe I’ll add more later idk. 

He will 1000% put his hair in a ponytail. 

He sings along to music really loud. Doesn’t matter what kind of music it is. He also hates when someone interrupts his singing. 

He’s a total conspiracy theorist. He definitely believes in aliens, he thinks the moon landing is faked, and he tells everyone the world is flat (just to annoy them, he doesn’t actually believe it). 

When he was young he was scared of unicorns for some reason but when he got older he actually loves them now. 

He’s left handed. 

In high school he only used one pen ever because he was determined to use a pen until it was empty because he’d never seen that happen before. 

He eats a lot. Like, a ton. And it confuses everybody because he rarely exercises. 

He’s a terrible liar. He comes up with the most absolute garbage lies ever. This is why he ends up with community service all the time. 

So here's some headcannons for what the bachelors and bachelorettes would be like on a road trip!! Sorry if the format is a little weird I'm on mobile, I'll fix it later :P

Bachelorettes:

Leah: The Driver™. She somehow knows how to drive an RV through any kind of traffic. She gets road rage to the extreme though. No children are allowed in her general vicinity. 

Abigail: The Snack Provider™. You say anything even resembling "I'm hungry" and she's there with 8 different snack options. Everyone loves her. However, she hogs all the mega stuf oreos. 

Emily: somehow constantly trying to come up with weird games. Anything from 'I Spy' to 'Twenty Questions.' The only one she won't play is the quiet game...

Haley: Taking selfies at anything and everything. World's biggest ball of lint? Selfie and Instagram it. Alex fell asleep next to her? Sends it to everyone on Snapchat. 

Maru: total enthusiast of everything they pass. She stops to read all of those little tourist signs at parks and tells the entire group what they say. 

Penny: carsick!!! She constantly needs to be by a trash can of some sort. She tried to read a book and now she can't stop throwing up. Poor girl.

Bachelors:

Shane: Somehow just naps the entire car ride. You wake him up for something, he's asleep again within five minutes. And he snores the whole time too!! 

Elliot: The Philosopher™. He can somehow turn any conversation into something way too deep and meaningful for the middle of nowhere. 

Sam: he's full-time DJ. You will never hear the same song twice, except when he plays the same song 16 times in a row. Sometimes he'll whip out his guitar too. 

Harvey: The Navigator™. He's the copilot who always has a map in front of him. He refused to use GPS because it's less fun. 

Sebastian: The asshole that hogs the entire RV couch and doesn't let anyone else sit on it. Has headphones on the entire trip.

Sebastian could tell something was up. His normally cheerful girlfriend was unusually quiet tonight. This was the third time they’d come to the cliff overlooking Zuzu city since they started dating, and the night air offered a cool breeze. The farmer was tucked into his lap with his arms curled around her. 

“You’re quiet tonight,” he spoke up, just above a whisper, “Is something wrong?” 

He adjusted his grip around the farmer as she twisted around in his lap to face him. Her eyes glowed in the moonlight as she quietly answered, “I have something to tell you.” 

Sebastian tilted his head, waiting patiently for her to continue. He watched as she nervously fiddled with the drawstrings of his hoodie. “I…” she took a shaky deep breath, meeting his eyes, “I’m trans. I’m a boy.” 

Sebastian watched his eyes dart from Sebastian’s gaze to his hoodie drawstrings. In a matter of moments Sebastian was wrapping his boyfriend into a tight hug. “Thank you,” he murmured, “for trusting me.” 

They sat like that for a while, with the farmer’s head on Sebastian’s shoulder. Sebastian found that he wasn’t surprised. The farmer always wore baggy clothing and kept his hair shorter. When his boyfriend’s shaky breathing finally settled down, Sebastian leaned back to look into his eyes. “I love you, I love you no matter what.” 

The farmer smiled back, the corners of his eyes glimmering with tears. “I love you too,” he whispered back before laying his head back on Sebastian’s shoulder.

Here’s what the bachelors and bachelorettes are like when they’re tired :)

Bachelorettes:

Abigail: She’s the kind of person to just kind of ignore her tiredness. Like, she gets tired, but just doesn’t want to go to bed. Instead she’ll play video games or explore the graveyard or something. 

Haley: HANGRY. Especially when she’s just been abruptly woken up, Haley gets hangry af. She’ll shout and slam doors. When she’s just woken up and needs some cereal, you do not want to be near her. 

Emily: She’s a giggler. She’ll just start laughing at the most random things when she’s tired--shit that would never otherwise be funny in a million years. And she Does. Not. stop. Laughing! 

Leah: She feels the most motivated when she’s tired. She will not let herself rest until she has perfected whatever she’s working on no matter how exhausted she is. However, don’t get in her way or there will be consequences. 

Maru: She’s a pass-out-in-the-middle-of-whatever-she’s-doing type person. She’ll just sit down for one second and then fall asleep. Doesn’t matter what she’s doing. Movie, stargazing, machine… she’ll just pass right out. 

Penny: She actually gets irritated when she’s really tired. Normally she would never think to snap at anyone, but when she’s on a path to bed, do not stand in her way. Pam has learned this the hard way when she comes home late and Penny is trying to sleep. 

Bachelors:

Sam: He will start doing the stupidest shit when he’s sleepy. You tell Sam to eat a ghost pepper or jump in the ocean when he’s sleepy, he will do it. No questions asked. All judgement goes out the window when this boy needs sleep. 

Sebastian: This poor anxious boy is tired 98% of the time, but he just can’t sleep. If he tries to sleep he starts worrying about anything and everything. This is why he stays up till 5am working--so he doesn’t have to deal with that worrying garbage. Eventually he may pass out on the couch with an open book. 

Shane: When he first starts getting tired he’s a total asshole. The biggest grump alive. But once he gets really tired, he will absolutely melt your heart. Sweetest man, lots of cute compliments that he would never otherwise say. 

Elliot: He’s a tired crier. If there’s one of those sad puppy commercials on TV when he’s staying up late, he will immediately burst into tears. Not even just a single cute tear. We’re talking full on downpour and the sniffles too. 

Alex: He’s actually a bit of a cuddler. When he’s sleepy all he wants is to curl up with some blankets and be nice and warm. Bonus points if he’s wearing a big long sleeve shirt because he gets sweater paws. 

Alright, here’s my version of Maru’s 6-heart event and how Maru would feel after if the farmer started dating Harvey! I hope you like it, the second part is a little angsty!! 

Maru looked up at the sound of boots crunching over fallen leaves. “Farmer! I’m surprised to see you here so late!” Her heart warmed at the sight of her friend. 

The farmer grinned. “I was just heading back from the mines!” Maru looked her up and down but didn’t see any cuts or bruises, fortunately. “What are you up to?” she asked, nodding to Maru’s telescope. 

“The night sky looks amazing right now,” Maru said wistfully, running her hand along the cool metal. “Come over here, I want to show you something--here, take a peek.” 

The farmer strode over to the telescope and peered in, squinting her left eye. Maru couldn’t help but smile. “What do you see?” 

The farmer gazed into the telescope for another moment before thoughtfully answering, “A beautiful planet.” She pulled back to look Maru in the eye. 

Maru stared back transfixed by the way the light from the moon danced in her eyes. “It’s amazing, isn’t it? By the time any of these stars are visited, you and I will be long gone…” 

The farmer hummed in agreement, looking up at the sky. 

Maru looked down at the farmer’s hand. She momentarily thought to reach out and grab it, but decided against it. “I guess that’s the trouble with being human, huh?” 

The two stood in silence for a few minutes, gazing up at the endless sea of stars above them. Maru wouldn’t mind if that moment lasted forever, she decided. She glanced over to peek at the farmer. Her lips were parted just slightly in wonder. Yoba, her lips-- “Farmer, uh…” The farmer looked over at Maru, and all the sudden her pulse was racing when her eyes met that piercing gaze. “Never mind. Here let me show you a binary star system!”

It had been three days since Maru had seen the farmer. She knew because she had been counting, silently hoping they would run into each other in passing. Maru didn’t want to be too forward by seeking her out… 

The bell on the door rang as someone walked in. “Just a moment!” Maru said from the computer, finishing the last sentence of an email. When she turned around, she nearly jumped when she saw the farmer standing at the counter. “Oh, farmer! Hello!” 

“Hey, Maru,” she said, smiling. “I’m just here to say hi to Har--” she cut off as the back door opened and Harvey stepped out. 

“Why hello, sweetie!” Harvey said cheerfully. Maru was suddenly glad she was sitting because her body suddenly felt like Jell-O. Sweetie? “What are you doing here?” 

The farmer beamed. “I just wanted to stop in and see you on my way to Pierre’s!” 

Maru watched on in horror as Harvey walked over to where the farmer was standing by the door, bending down to give her a kiss on the cheek. Maru’s heart dropped in her chest. 

“I just couldn’t wait for our date tonight!” The farmer squeaked as Harvey wrapped her into a hug. Date? Since when were they dating? Maru’s thoughts raced. 

Alright, @lolmariam here is my list of random Sebastian headcanons!!! Maybe I’ll add more later... 

He has glasses. Thick black framed ones. He’s kind of embarrassed so he usually wears contacts. Sometimes after a long computer session his eyes hurt from the contacts so he wears his glasses. 

He makes really good coffee. He drinks enough and there’s no Starbucks in town so he’s had plenty of time to perfect it. Sometimes he just drinks it black though. 

He collects playing cards and dice. 

He has a special stuffed animal frog. If anyone found out he would be mortified--not even Sam and Abby know. 

This boy sleeps with so many pillows. 

His screen saver on his PC is the words "Fuck Off" in silver cursive, spinning around. If he and the farmer are a thing, his desktop is definitely a picture of them. 

He uses nice smelling soap! It helps keep Demetrius off him about the cigarette smell. 

He 10000% wore black eyeliner and nail polish in high school.

He was suuuper smart in school but never really cared enough to put in the effort so his grades were not great.

Yes he does have frog pajama pants.

Robin made him learn how to cook, and he's not actually too bad at it. He just doesn't like cooking because it means being upstairs and his family is also upstairs. 

He listens to country music along with the emo music. It was always what Robin listens to during projects so he's just got a thing for it now. He won't admit this to anyone, though. 

He uses hair conditioner 🤷

He doesn't look it, but he actually has a little muscle from when Robin makes him help with carpentry projects. 

He sticks tons of post it's around his monitor of coding notes

He sunburns easily. Just comes with having a redhead mom. 

He's right handed.

He just gives me the vibe of someone who sleeps with their socks on idk 

He does, in fact, own more than one hoodie, it's just several of the exact same one.
