For emotionally immature people, all interactions boil down to the question of whether theyâre good people or bad ones, which explains their extreme defensiveness if you try to talk to them about something they did.

i love you things that arenât perfect but are a step in the right direction toward environmental sustainability
reminder that while there are many things that individuals can do to make their lives more environmentally sustainable, itâs not all up to us.
the damage done to the planet by humans is not an individual person thing. itâs a global industrialization, government, corporation thing. so while yes!! please make the changes you can to your lifestyle to help the environment! know that itâs not all up to you either. youâre just a piece in the puzzle. making changes is incredible and should absolutely be done, but corporations and governments donât step in to make changes too, because they are the biggest contributors.
but! some things that can be done in your every day life to be more sustainable!
- donât use ai (this is the easiest one.)
- donât leave lights on when youâre not using them
- take shorter showers (iâm bad at this đ)
- reduce meat in your diet (iâm not saying go vegan or vegetarian if you donât want to (im not) but meat offers less energy than plants for the same volume of food as its higher on the trophic pyramid (food chain) which divides by 10 at every level. eating more vegetables, fruits, & plants with less meat is more energy efficient)
- use more energy efficient transportation (some examples are walking, biking, using public transport (bus, train, etc), or carpooling (even though itâs still driving a private car, thereâs less cars on the road if youâre driving together))
- reduce, reuse, recycle (in that order. theyâre in that order because thatâs the order most to least energy efficient)
- plant native plants in your yard (this is both much prettier than grass lawns and requires far less maintenance because the plants are meant to grow there (do research on native plants in your area) it also has the benefit of reducing non native insects in your yard which can carry diseases (like ticks)
i have so much more i could say but i wonât say it here. i think i might create a blog dedicated to environmental science and sustainability :)
Kitchen magic!
 WHAT IS KITCHEN MAGIC?
Kitchen magic is the act of sharing the natural magic of the Earth and home, serving everything with care and intention. Kitchen magic is an extremely Earth-centered/based magical practice; as the author of The Kitchen Witch Handbook (Aurora Kane) puts it, kitchen magic is â...a way to care for our planet as it cares for us.â
With that being said, I wanted to take the time to point out that all foods have magical properties; and it is always a good idea to prepare food with respect and/or honor; as what you put in is what youâll get out!
Now, Iâve been considering myself a Kitchen Witch for a little while at this point, so what Iâm about to say in this next section is entirely optional and all of my own opinions. You do not need fancy tools to be a kitchen witch/do kitchen witchcraft! If youâve got a pot, a pan, a spoon, and maybe an oven/stove top/microwave, and food that needs cookingâyouâre good to go!Â
Though if you have any of the following, or know where to get these for CHEAP; please reblog this with what you have/where you can get these things!
TOOLS FOR KITCHEN MAGIC:
Truth be told, the most fundamental tools any kitchen witch should be at least somewhat familiar with are the four elements.Â
These elements are what gave us food in the first place, and they are what is going to help us make something delicious!
Here is a list of frilly tools that I think could be a fun addition to your craft:
Apron(s); these can be considered your ritual clothing!
Besom; this can aid you in cleaning your space, and sweep away negativity!
Cauldron; this can be your most favorite potâpreferably something big enough to make a good stew, though any size will do.
Chalice; this can be your most favorite cup in your whole house! It does NOT need to be anything elaborate!
Cookbooks/journals; can act like your grimoire/book of shadows!
Fork, Knife, and Spoon; very essential for some meals to eat with these!
Mortar and Pestle; for grinding up things and stuff
Tea Kettle; when youâre super tired after a long day and all you want is ramen but you donât want to wait for the water to boil, use a tea kettle.
I really hope that this helps someone out there!! If you have any questions please let me know! I'd love to answer them!!
Have a great day!!

As much as it can make me and so many others feel very overwhelmed...
Physical cleaning is so underrated in witchcraft.
I feel like most of the time when witches talk about cleaning, they're primarily talking about energetic cleaning. Even when physical cleaning is involved it's "use the broomstick to sweep away the bad energy," "open your windows," and "recipe for a cleansing room spray," and so on, but nothing terribly thorough.
I just spent three and a half hours cleaning my room, no magick other than my spirit guides' candle lit to help keep me locked in with some video essays rolling in the background. Several surfaces and items have been dusted for the first time in months, I filled two garbage bags with trash and two more with donations, and rearranged all my drawers and shelves.
And no recent magickal cleansing method has made me feel so relaxed and at ease in so long.
I honestly wasn't expecting it! Usually deep cleaning makes me feel quite exhausted, but this is more of a satisfactory exhaustion. Like a physical weight I never knew was there has been lifted off my chest. Now I'm rewarding myself with a nice bath using the bath bomb that my boyfriend made for me!
All in all, thorough physical cleaning is extremely important for everyone's mental and spiritual wellbeing. It doesn't have to be all at once like what I did, it just has to be done in general. And don't be afraid to ask for help from a friend or family member if you need it!
