Ed blinked and chuckled at the joke before reaching down, “Sorry, don’t have a spare one of those laying around.” he offered, making sure Matt got up the steps alright and leading him towards the middle of the bus. No one ever sat there, everyone wanted to hide in the back or be the first ones off. At leat it’d give them some privacy. The bus lurched forward again and started heading back into the city, Ed watching the buildings come up around them quickly, “There’s a stop near my house, but you’ll have to walk some again.” he looked back over at Matt again, “The good news is it’s level ground. No hills.”

‘‘Well I won’t get anywhere without walking, and I don’t think I can just stay here for all eternity, so I’ll gladly take the challenge.’‘ Even if it was most definitely a challenge.

“If it’s a liquid form of energy I wouldn’t really call it magic myself.” Ed said, glancing up as the bus started coming up. He stood up from the bench and looked over at Matt as it started slowing, “Can you make a screwdriver? I mean, I imagine with the right metal and a mold for the end of it you could but, without that kinda stuff I mean. You can do that?”

The bus doors opened and Ed started forward before looking back, “….do you want a hand?” he’d watched the other struggle lifting his leg enough to walk on level ground. He wasn’t sure if at least he should stay nearby to make sure the other didn’t fall going up the steps.

‘‘It’s just the easier way to explain it.’‘ He said, getting up with a bit of a struggle. 

When Edward offered to help, he nodded. ‘’Gladly... I don’t think I’d be able to lift my leg enough to get inside, no..’’

But then he smirked. ‘’Although I’d prefer a leg over a hand.’’ He mused. Okay so he had terrible humor, sue him.
