[✧ →] Lady Camilla had always stood out to Starcatcher.  In this strange land of Nohr, she felt like... home.  Her warm, welcoming demeanor was a pleasure to have when Inigo, Owain, and Severa were her only reminders of home.  Of the late Emmeryn, her previous owner and best friend.  To the pegasus, Camilla carried a bit of Emmeryn in her - and that was why she was drawn to her so.
But of course, Severa had strongly advised against interacting with the princess.  You’ll slip up and talk, she’d said.  And that will cast suspicion on us three.
Still, Starcatcher was her own pegasus, and she ultimately dictated who she’d talk to.  So one day Starcatcher decided to sneak out of the stables and over to Princess Camilla, who had been occupied with her own things.  After a while of standing stone-still and watching the purple-haired woman, Starcatcher finally opened her mouth.  “Milady, I am Starcatcher, Selena’s pegasus.  It’s a pleasure to finally speak with you.”

[✧ →] Starcatcher normally pretended to be just like all the other pegasi even if she was fooling no one.  She barely talked anymore.  After all, who was there to talk to?  Emmeryn was dead, and Cordelia was so caught up in her one-sided love story that the redhead didn’t have much time to come down to the stables and chat.  So when Gaius appeared at the stables one day and planted a kiss on her forehead, Starcatcher was taken aback.
The thief didn’t seem like an animal kind of person.  But here he was, petting her snout gently as if he’d been doing so all his life.  Though surprising, it felt nice nonetheless.  She closed her eyes and let out a soft neigh, wanting to say something, anything that would break the silence between them.  A thanks, perhaps.  For keeping her company at one of her lowest points.
“I appreciate the kind gesture, Gaius.  I really do.  Thank you.”  Starcatcher nuzzled his cheek softly as further thanks... completely forgetting that they probably hadn’t conversed before and Gaius probably wasn’t aware of the fact that she could speak Ylissean.
