Quill had been sitting in the sand, staring at the water and the reflecting stars, hoping to give his back and hands a bit of a break from all his working. It was then that he had spotted someone walking along the sand, definitely not the strangest creature he had ever seen, but it had made him curious.

He gave a thoughtful nod as he listened to the other speak, idly poking at the sand beside his leg as he did so.

“I don’t blame you. That volcano doesn’t look to friendly…”

He shook his head as he glanced upward in the direction of the volcano, the red eyes of his helmet seemed to match the glowing lava in the distance. Quill then looked back at.. Snowflake.. as he introduced himself.

“Amnesia huh? Sounds rough pal… They call me Star Lord where I’m from. A lot of people know my name through out the galaxy~ But since you have amnesia, I’ll forgive the fact that you won’t know me.”

He chuckles as he stands up, dusting the sand off his pants and then slowly rolls his shoulders.

He decided at that moment he was tired of standing up and sat across from his new aquatinted traveler, removing some sand that got stuck between his feathered coating around his waist.

Nodding along as Star-Lord spoke he gave the other a small thumbs up.

Quill gives a nod as he sits back down in the sand when the other decides to sit as well. He gives a thoughtful hum as food is mentioned, glancing back over to the coconut that Snowflake held.

It was anxiety that drove him forward, he needed to see for himself, to check the volcano to make sure it wasn’t about to blow up again. Even if that meant making the long walk towards the fiery mountain of death, even if that meant climbing all the way up to take a peak inside it. He couldn’t focus on his work, he couldn’t sleep, he couldn’t do anything without the constant worry of the volcano going off again in his mind.

Though maybe he should’ve been a little more focused on where he was walking, his boot caught on something and caused him to trip and stumble forward, eventually landing on his face. Granted his helmet provided some protection, but the collision still hurt.

“Ow what the… Wha..”

He had brought himself up on his knees and looked behind him to see what he had tripped over, freezing at the sight of a familiar figure just laying there on the ground. He was quick to crawl over to the man’s side, hovering and gazing at Taro’s mask, having only met him once, but he still wasn’t about to just abandon the guy.

    He really didn’t need to cough. His mind was in and out. A haze drifting back and fourth in and out of consciousness. From what he could tell, which wasn’t much, Neo would feel the other. BARELY. But it was still there. Enough to keep him awake long enough to COUGH.

     A signal he was alive- but unwell. He needed help. The cough wasn’t that forceful. It held a weakness. One that told a thousand words to anyone that would have came across him. Though he couldn’t help but wonder why this fellow was here- A thought for another time.

     His head went black again. Only to come back to and force open his eyes to stare up at the other mask. Though they were heavy, droopy, they stayed open. And so his hands upon the ground glow once more. Vines that grew from the ground below began to snake and make their way up the rocky side, gathering under his back in order set him up what little they could before his magic ran thin once more. The glow flickering like a short circuited light bulb.

     He was more awake now than he was prior. Though- Still weak.

“Oh good your alive. I was getting worried there, still am worried honestly.. Um..”

He was slowly forming a plan on what to do, rambling more for his sake, not really expecting the other to answer. Although he paused when he saw that familiar light, watching in fascination as plant life was called forth to prop the Taro up. But he was quick to snap out of it when the man asked for water, quickly searching his pockets for his canteen.

“Water right. I warn you though, it’s probably nothing like the water your used to...”

Water rations from space, not the best but it was still water non the less, and Quill quickly unscrewed the cap of the canteen, but then hesitated for a moment.
