Campaign 4 Episode 3: The Snipping of Shears

The way it parallels Jester’s “It feels like we know each other really well. In all those books I read it’s two strangers forging this passionate affair and it doesn’t feel like that, it feels comfortable.” in ep121 and Fjord’s “You know when someone makes you feel a way that you don’t think you have any right to feel? Or you never thought that you might?” in ep108.

Jester’s disillusionment witnessing the world for what it really is, putting on a brave face, but then finding a comfortability and continuous love for the complexities of life and the people in it. Fjord believing he doesn’t deserve any happiness or love in his life, putting on a brave face, but then learning he’s still supported and accepted through his vulnerabilities and weaknesses. The way they grew with each other. Fjord, who never had a home, who never felt like he belonged, telling Jester “Anywhere you are, that’s where I belong. I will be your anchor, your partner and your home just as you have been mine.”

Probably my most ambitious group piece yet, just based on pure numbers - likely the only one I'll do for this campaign, oof -- 13 is a lot, folks!!!

My first Campaign 4 art, and as is tradition, I came up with my own takes on the characters going mostly from the in-game descriptions & vibes during the first episode as a fun character design challenge that I do each campaign. (kept a bit of canon as usual on most of them so ppl aren't too confused in doodles lol)
