He was happy for his friend - it was the only reason he was here. He wanted to repair what he could with Lucius, if that were even possible, but weddings were not his idea of a good time.
Pen had helped him get ready, coming over earlier that day and by the time they'd apparated here, he was uncomfortable and stiff - a sign they had done a good job. He fiddled uncomfortably with his cufflinks as he sat at the table, frowning at the empty plate, wondering how long he would have to stay after they served dinner.

Though Narcissa had been beautiful, the ceremony had been rather dull. A plate was set in front of them during dinner despite the fact they had clearly indicated they didn't want one, and so it sat untouched in front of them throughout the meal while they drank their way through an entire bottle of the most expensive vodka on the market. They glanced to Severus across the table as they finished the last sip of it, everyone long finished eating by that point. The catering staff were collecting plates around them. Pen's silvery gaze lingered on the sight of Severus's frown... Despite what Regulus had thought, it seemed he wasn't having a very good time. Even if he was with them. They tore their eyes away from the beautiful jade of his color and that frown on his face, instead looking towards the ballroom and what bodies they could see circling around it. "... Are you bored?" they asked him softly, their voice barely a whisper, though they knew he would hear them. It was the way they had always spoke to him. Their head tipped softly to the side, making the star dangling from their right ear sway. Their expression was blank as always.
Severus was watching Lucius and Narcissa as they made their rounds, wondering if the smile on his face was genuine or practiced - he used to be able to tell. He thought today was probably a bit of both. Feeling eyes on him, he glanced up to Pen and held their gaze silently for just a moment before they spoke.
Furrowing his brow slightly, he thought about it. "No," He finally said slowly, although he thought the real answer was both yes and no. He was on edge, and a bit paranoid - but he was glad to be here, too. Severus kept his gaze trained on them, watching the small earring catch the light as it swayed. Pen always found a way to shine, he mused - if nothing else, he was enjoying seeing them here, dressed up the way they were.
"I'm sorry," he started, the very edges of his lips turning downward ever so slightly. "I know I must not be very good company."
