The reason the Israelites - even the proclamatory jews of today - are God's chosen people is not because they are superior or necessarily more favored than us Gentiles. It is because they are covenantly chosen to be an example to the other nations: an example of God's mercy, and God's wrath, of God's love, and God's judgement, of God's favor, and of God's justice, of God's faithfulness and God's withholding, of God's promise and God's cursing.
Do not envy being made an example of: for the judgement of false teaching and hypocrisy is greater on those who are meant to lead as an example; the wrath and time of God is heavier against those who lead others astray, despite what they know and have been given.
This is what the prophets forewarned Israel before their subdue, each and every time, and it will be so in these days to come.
Therefore, do not envy or feel less or obligated because they are God's chosen people, but understand they are chosen for this reason, and this reason teaches us as the Church amongst all other nations, what we have been saved from, redeemed of, and given because of Christ, in the days to come.
They are not God's chosen, they rejected God when he came to him. God's chosen people are the Christian church. Jews can belong if they be come Christian.
