Emma had always enjoyed weddings. Of course, that was mostly because it was not her wedding. She was sad though that her date was actually having to work though. She would have loved nothing more than to dance the night away with Kitty. But she supposed, if she could not do that, listening to her was the next best thing. Of course, maybe she shouldn't have been standing so close, but it gave her a good view of her girlfriend.
As she heard a familiar voice she glanced to the side, and smiled as she realised it was Regulus. "Reggie." She beamed, as she turned away from her view of Kitty, and took his hand. "I'm a busy quidditch player darling, I'm busy these days."
Regulus took Emma’s hand and guided her a little bit further away from the stage. He made sure they were still in sight, but far enough away from the speakers that they could speak without having to scream at each other. “Yeah, yeah, busy, busy.” Regulus replied in jest, rolling his eyes as he placed his hands on Emma’s waist. “Now that you’re famous you’ve forgotten about the little guys, hmm?” He asked, still teasing as he lead their dance. “Don’t forget that I held your hair back for you as you threw up off the astronomy tower… Multiple times! I think that warrants a visit every now and again.” Laughing, the two of them turned on the beat, and he nodded his head towards the band. “Who’s the girl you’re making googly eyes over?”
It was strange to her, that she had found someone she felt so comfortable with. It was even stranger to think that he was who she was supposed to marry till plans changed. So far, giving them a chance was the best thing that had ever happened to her. He was right of course, without her heels she only made it up to his shoulders on a good day. Luckily it was second nature to be in heels for her.
“I don’t quite think he’s intimidating but it is 5 percent his day so we’ll let him have it.” Any other day and she would have called him boring. He was about as interesting as plain cheesecake. Good but could be better. A smile stayed painted on her face as they moved apart and his had found hers. “I was a little worried about the color not being in theme but the pale greens washed me out. At least I showed up in color unlike some others.”
Walking with him she thought about it. “Dance first. Just in case we get kicked out,” she giggled. Elodie knew that there was a chance they didn’t want Regulus here. However, if he left she did too. She just hoped it didn’t happen. “Again, thank you for coming. I know it can’t be easy after everything.”
“Five percent? You’re giving Narcissa far too much credit.” He snorted slightly. Even if he and Narcissa hadn’t been close for the last few years, he still knew her well. Lucius was lucky if he were to get a say on anything to do with the wedding. Though he supposed the man was marrying someone that Regulus thought was special, so he supposed it was kind of his day, too. “I’m actually surprised about the fact that a lot of people are here in black. Wasn’t the theme pastels? Bella, not surprised there, but everyone else?” He’d always been taught to follow dress codes, but he wasn’t really a guest, so he didn’t care that he was in a dark green today.
“Sounds like a plan.” Regulus smiled, “It would be a shame if we didn’t get a dance in.” Heading towards the ballroom, he nodded easily at her thanks. He would do anything Elodie asked of him, even risking his life by attending his cousin’s wedding reception. “You don’t need to thank me, El. I want to be here. It’d rough but…” He trailed off, shrugging, “It’s worth being able to show you off.”
Making their way out on to the dancefloor, he put his hands on her waist and began leading them in a less traditional version of a waltz. He’d never been very good at dancing, the simpler steps were much easier on him. “If we get kicked out, we’re crashing Daisy and Tilden’s party, right?” He asked softly in her ear, keeping her close to him as they danced together, “I told Sirius I’d head over there after we were finished here, and if you wanted to come you’re more than welcome, of course.”
Regulus had noticed Andromeda quite quickly, and his eyes followed her around the room. He’d been looking for people that he actually wanted to see, she was definitely an unexpected addition to that list. Excusing himself from Elodie, he quickly made his way over to his cousin, picking up a couple of glasses of champagne along the way. Sliding up next to his cousin, he handed one of the glasses to her, raising an eyebrow as he glanced over to her. “Do you feel as uncomfortable as I do?” He asked, knowing that even though he wasn’t technically invited, he was here as a plus one. He wondered how Andy got in through security. “Happy you’re here, I think Cissa will be happy to see you here, too. Whether she wants to admit it or not.” @andromedabtonks
Regulus felt bad. He had convinced Pen to ask Severus to come to the wedding, but it didn’t look like things were turning out the way that they were supposed to. Severus was supposed to be happy to be attending with Pen, but instead he looked absolutely miserable. Which, Regulus knew was a possibility, but he was hoping that since the two of them were here together, it would be a different story. With two flutes of champagne in his hands, Regulus approached Pen, handing one of the glasses to them. “I’m sorry.” He said, giving them a sympathetic look, “I’m sure he’s happy to be here with you, these things are just kind of hard on us after… Well, everything.” @pen-kneeling

While Elodie was occupied speaking with a friend of hers, Regulus excused himself to the other room. He'd caught a glimpse of Emma while the two of them were making their rounds and wanted to make sure he took some time out of his night to see her. It seemed as though both of them had so much going on in their lives recently that they hadn't had a proper chance to talk with each other in quite some time.
"May I have this dance?" Regulus asked, holding out a hand to Emma, who was standing so close to the band it was quite difficult to hear. He couldn't help but to notice her eyes glued to the lead singer, and he made a note to make sure he asked her about it. "I've missed you, buddy, why don't you ever come see me?" @emmavanityx

Pen: if you think so, then i will Pen: i'd like severus to be happy Regulus: I know I would be happy to have both you and Severus there. Regulus: And Severus would be happy to be with us.
Elodie loved the ceremony. It would be shocking to see anything that was less than perfect, if she was honest. She could only hope that one day her own wedding would be this perfect. Narcissa looked amazing and of course Lucius did too, but her eyes were on Narcissa the whole time.
The only thing missing was her date. Once the reception started she went looking for the man. It was a little strange to find that he wasn't like her father pictured. He was so much better, and honestly being seen with him didn't bother her in the slightest. It wasn't like he was a muggleborn after all. Finally laying her eyes on him she rushed over, smiling as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Don't let the groom hear that," she giggled. "I'm so glad you showed up, Regulus. And you look amazing!"
Regulus chuckled softly to himself. If it weren't for the tall heels on Elodie's feet, she likely wouldn't have been able to wrap her arms around his neck. He wasn't complaining, though, and wrapped his own arms around her waist, holding her close to him. It was such a surprise how well the two of them got along, and he was glad that they both decided to give each other a chance.
"I'm not afraid of the groom." Regulus replied softly, slowly pulling himself out of her embrace so he could take another look at her. "You look absolutely incredible, honestly. More so than usual, which I didn't think was even possible." His hand found hers and he kept her close as the two of them began to head into the reception. He was nervous, he wanted to be here, for Elodie but also for Narcissa. But what if they kicked him out? He was here with someone that had been invited, but he couldn't help but to worry that his presence would upset Narcissa, or maybe Bellatrix would cause a scene. Regulus didn't want to think about it too much, though. Not with such a beautiful woman on his arm.
"Was the ceremony long? Would you like to get some hors d'oeuvres and refreshments first? Or should we dance?"
Pen ⇆ Regulus
Pen: ... Pen: i don't think severus would like to attend Regulus: I think Severus would like to attend with YOU. Regulus: I think he would be happy you considered him.
Pen ⇆ Regulus Regulus: I've already been invited as a plus one. Elodie. Regulus: However, I think I know of someone you could ask to join you. Pen: i understand Pen: who?
Regulus: Don't make me spell it out for you.
Regulus: Who else would you like to go with?

Regulus waited until Elodie had chosen her dress before choosing a suit so he could make sure the two of them looked like a pair. He chose an emerald green suit (with a bow tie because they're cooler) with black shoes and gold cufflinks. Although the dress code was pastels, both Regulus and Elodie weren't really known to follow the rules.

Regulus was nervous, not at all knowing what he should expect from attending Narcissa's wedding reception. He remembered when they got engaged, he always imagined the ceremony and how beautiful his cousin would look in her wedding gown. He didn't even get to attend, he hadn't even seen her dress yet. Hopefully she wouldn't be mad that he came, he just wanted to support her. And he wanted to see Elodie, of course.
Honestly, he was slightly taken aback when Elodie had asked him as her plus one. It made sense, they had been talking for a few weeks now and it seemed as though things were going well between them. However Regulus was aware of his reputation, he was surprised she wanted to be seen with him. He certainly wasn't complaining, though, and when he watched her approaching him, it felt as though all the air has left his lungs. She looked absolutely stunning.
"Wow," He breathed, eyes moving from her face down to her dress and then to her accessories before back to her face, "I must be the luckiest man here. Thank you for the invite."
