I need some mental health advice
For a few years now (since I was maybe 16??), I've found that I fit the symptoms of borderline personality disorder eerily well, specifically the quiet subtype. When I first realized this, I brought it up with my old therapist, who immediately shut me down and said that I can't have it because I'm "too mentally stable" (one of the most ridiculous things every said to me). I guess that's what happens when you're too good at masking and end up lying to your therapist about your relationships for months ;-;.
Whether or not I have BPD, I'm struggling with something pretty serious and need help, but I don't know how to get it. I'm scared to reach out because I'm terrified I'll just get shut down again (I take anything, including people telling me I'm wrong, as a personal attack / criticism, which is emotionally distressing, so I just dissociate and shut down).
I don't have any safe people to reach out to (including my family who pays for my medical stuff), and I'm terrified to reach out to any of my medical professionals.
Is there a way to get help in the near future? College starts in a little over a month, should I reach out to someone once I get there? I would save up money to get a diagnosis, but I'm so impulsive that I can't even save any money. Ugh, I'm in a tough spot and would just love some advice, if anyone has any
