I love Splatoon because today I was playing and just randomly got put on a team with a guy who’s username was is Japanese and even though I know we don’t even speak the same language and might not be able to hold a conversation irl, we were able to be on a team and spam the “Booyah!” emote together. Language barriers cannot circumvent the feeling of kicking ass in the squid turf war game.
