a bit of background
I ran a heavy-focused music blog some time ago. I'm trying a version of that format again, this time sans-words to hopefully keep the project going as I've had a harder time typing in recent years due to a hand/finger issue. My original goal was to share music I found cool and interesting, not talk over it with opinions and review hand-holding when music should largely speak for itself, so I'm sticking to the basics here.
If you're interested in what one band or song sounds like, click through the tags I've added to find similar things. For the moment I'm adding decade and year of release (and/or posting to the internet in the case of live music), basic genres, and subgenres when I know what they are. If you don't like pop-focused sounds today, I've added "heavy" to all of the heavier music posts to keep them separate... but I encourage you to dig and sample regardless as much of this is quite subjective.
At this time the blog is new, so I'm all over the place trying to populate it with disparate things, but over time it'll focus more on the present.
