Just today I got to see a chess book that I remember reading as a little kid. While it didn't give me a lifelong passion for chess, it did give me a lifelong passion for fantasy for its artwork.
The book is "Chess for Young Beginners" from 1975, and here's some of the artwork:
Like, this artwork goes hard. I especially appreciate the colour scheme for the black pieces, with its browns, bronzes, reds and oranges.
This artwork is amazing, evocative, exciting and dramatic. I recommend giving it a look if you have a chance - you can probably scrounge up a PDF of this thing with a bit of searching.

Another piece I finished recently that I'm pretty happy with, maybe a lil more than the last piece. Here is the face reveal for my character Alter, who I play in a Fallout Nuclear Winter Campaign with some friends.

Finally finished this piece and I'm not completely upset with it! This is the first official art of my character Rindral Ulves. I play him in an Elder Scrolls game with my besties :> I love Dunmer and it's been so fun looking into their lore and changing it up a bit. Rindral was a retired assassin for the Morag Tong and had a nice large house with his husband + wife, that is until the game started anyway. Now he's hunting Thalmor agents to uncover why they'd arrested him, imprisoned him in one of their top facilities, and where they're keeping his family..
A piece I made for Valentines day a couple years ago, based on an inside joke.

Another painting of my character Adi, this one I made around 2021. I still enjoy some aspects of this, though. I love the hair.
The very first picture I made of my Mage the Ascension character Aldonza Aros Maldonado. It's not my favorite and she is overdue for another beautiful piece, but I'm very happy with her design and her little familiar Costilla!
