Ok so I just finished playing Dispatch and I freaking LOVED it! Sooooo I thought it would be fun to combine my two current hyperfixations and make a Hermitcraft Dispatch AU!
Quick overview for those who have never played Dispatch:
In this AU Impulse works as a superhero dispatcher, someone who analyzes a team’s strengths and weaknesses and answers distress calls by the sending the hero most suited to the job. However, he’s been assigned to the Hermit Program, a team of former villains trying to become heroes. To say the least, it’s like trying to herd cats and the office and comm lines are always in chaos when the Hermits show up to work.

The irony of this new breed of self-righteous AI hunters on AO3 is that they're all just copy and pasting peoples fics into AI detectors, which are all operated by AI and therefore THEY are feeding people's work into the algorithm without their consent and in some cases no doubt circumventing the locks people put on to avoid getting scraped...
Don't copy and paste anyone's AO3 work into third party websites, you're not the good guys in this situation?
It cracks me up that Zam and Mapicc are talking like Spoke is their tragically dead wife even though they can message him easily, and he was literally the devil incarnate when he was "alive". Objects demonstrate attachments in many different ways (yet another example of how diverse they can be lol.) For instance, stacking is a universally-recognised display of attachment among objects. It’s a sign of mutual trust, bonding or allyship – the bottom supports the top since they trust them, while the top trusts the bottom to keep supporting them and stop them from falling. Of course, not all objects display attachments the same way (see Figure 2), but stacking is the most recognised as a symbol of fondness and affection.
The fifth image in Figure 1 is also a good illustration of how attachment must be mutual: stacking here doesn’t work because the top (Grassy) trusts the bottom (Pencil) to protect and support them. This feeling is not reciprocated; hence why there’s conflict.
