When friends meet them for the first time, everyone assumes the golden retriever fell first. They're wrong.

The golden retriever is openly affectionate and fearless. Until someone hurts the black cat. Then the sunshine turns uncharacteristically serious.

The black cat insists they don’t like people. The golden retriever gently reminds them, “You like me.” The black cat pretends this is an exception, not a rule.

The golden retriever gives compliments freely and often. The black cat gives exactly one sincere compliment, and it means everything.

The black cat says something devastatingly romantic by accident and spends the next hour pretending it wasn’t that deep.

The golden retriever shows love by doing everything together. The black cat shows love by choosing to sit near them when they could sit anywhere else.

The black cat ususally acts annoyed when the golden retriever holds their hand. But they aren't fooling anyone, especially not their partner.

The golden retriever has quite a lot of friends, while the black cat is more of a loner and has a low social battery. As a couple the black cat is willing to hang out with their partner's friends from time to time and the golden retriever makes sure to always check in with their partner to see if it's time to go home together.

People think that the black cat is not a very talkative person. The golden retriever loves to know that when it's just the two of them the black cat's talking can't be stopped.

Usually the golden retriever is the caretaker of the couple. But when they get sick the black cat steps up and is a surprisingly good nurse.

Drifter: You already answered that question: No.

Roathe: Then, if there was nothing good about the Empire, am I worth saving?

Drifter: Albrecht Entrati already answered that question: Yes. He saved you.

Operator:Lua?

Drifter: Yes.

Operator:A good one?

Drifter: Yeah.

Curious how Marie latched onto Albrecht so hard as a father figure, and he, who historically wasn't the most caring about the Orokin, would be obsessing over forgiving the Orokin for the things they've done. Curious how Lyon is both haunted and comforted by Rell and Wally, one of which may not exist per se anymore. A friend, a parent, a lover... Was that really Entrati, I wonder.

Curious how despite everything it's so protective of the drifter and operator, in it's own way. Curious how it wanted to share Duviri with the drifter and turn it from a place of trauma and pain into something re-written and new. Curious how the drifter always longed for change and Wally wanted to give them that. Wanted to rule it with them. Play with them. Wanted to be better than Thrax.

Curious how our last interaction with wally in witw was it telling us to come back earlier for play time, so we could have more fun. Curious how it cared about the drifter picking at old wounds and not letting them heal, and cared about the drifter making attachments that would inevitably break and leave them hurting all th emore.

So strange how it desperately wants the operator to be able to feel, to let go, to be angry and to strike and lash out and hurt and kill, like it was never able to. Like it's always been denied. Part of it seeks indifference, but so much of it seeks feeling. Love. Understanding. Carry this power with mercy, Tenno. Please. (Was the good ending for 1999 really Entrati the WHOLE time? Hmm. Strange void resonance he's got at the end there on his voice)
