chloe vs mental illness is such a underused topic it feels criminal
shes been through such heinous shit since 14 years of age up to her seven episodes she’s part of in s10, from Obscura to Tomb to all the OTHER times she’s been kidnapped/held at gunpoint/hunted down etc., her behaviour in Tomb specifically fascinates me because I don’t believe her act of SH was purely from the ghost. it feels more like one last push sending her over the edge when she’s been holding it together for so long. especially with it being 5x14 a point in the show where she has mountains of stress and horrible memories/experiences while at a very young age (i think 18 or 19?)
i feel a similar way about when she took the cyanide pill for ollie, i dont think it was entirely FOR ollie, i believe it was ALSO an act upon chloe’s repressed locked-up-with-chains suicidal thoughts, of course this isn’t my strictly-canon analysis im sure the writers weren’t going for this
there’s also all the times a loved one has turned evil on her/died. especially davis and jimmy. she would have trust issues, would either refuse all contact or become way too clingy out of fear someone isn’t her friend or that someone will die soon she’s an obsessive person that’s canon. and lionel deserves a whole post of his own. she’d be paranoid. scared
i really like when she’s unstable, not cool or in her element. begging clark to burn a chip out of her knowing it’ll hurt like hell, her behaviour when she was infected by brainiac, how she treats tess. it’s such a catastrophic loss of possible extremely cool character growth and interactions. she’s very very flawed. and i love her for it
